UK Gambling Commission have suspended 666BET’s license to provide services in the area until the regulator reviews the online betting firm.

UK gambling laws have temporarily disallowed 666BET to provide services in the United Kingdom until they make sure that everything is fine with the popular online destination’s duties. The suspension is only a temporary decision until the regulatory body reviews the betting operator’s status.

As the regulatory body commented, the UK Gambling Commission have started a review under the section 116 of the Gambling Act 2005 and the 118 of the Act. Because of these investigations, they decided to suspend the Operating License number 000-039112-R-319435-001 (MetroPlay Limited) until the end of the revision.

The regulators believe that the provider is not suitable to continue their services

A spokesperson of the regulatory body said, “The Commission has decided to commence a review because it suspects that Metro Play Limited (the Licensee) is unsuitable to carry on the licensed activities (section 120(1)(d) of the Act) and considers it appropriate to suspend the license with immediate effect pending the conclusion of the review.”

Online gambling sites in UK report that 666BET entered the online betting market of the United Kingdom in June 2014. They also acquired the website of MetroPlay casino from Daily Mail and General Trust (DMGT). In addition, the online betting firm also made deals with Premier League clubs Leicester City and West Bromwich Albion.
