AFL Betting Tips 2023 – Will The Leader Change?

If you follow the Australian Football League, you know how the teams for the final series are determined. The top eight clubs from the 2023 AFL Premiership season qualify for the last round in September.

This year, the best teams are Collingwood, Melbourne, Brisbane Lions, Port Adelaide, Carlton, Sydney, St Kilda, and Greater Western Sydney. They occupy the top 8 in the standings with the following results after 28 matches:

  1. Collingwood – 72 points
  2. Brisbane Lions – 68 points
  3. Port Adelaide – 68 points
  4. Melbourne – 64 points
  5. Carlton – 54 points
  6. St Kilda – 52 points
  7. Greater Western Sydney – 52 points
  8. Sydney – 50 points

Predictably, Collingwood leads the odds of winning the AFL in 2023. Bet365 gives Magpies the best odds of reaching the grand final and probably taking the crown. Although their past five games showed mere results, they are still favorites to claim the champion’s title.

Melbourne comes second by the odds of winning the Australian Football League. We recommend following the AFL betting tips 2023 and wagering on these guys with the nickname Demons. Despite finishing the AFL Premiership season on the 4th spot, the club is a strong competitor for the favorites.

Brisbane Lions and Port Adelaide almost share the third place as potential winners, according to bookmakers. Both have a great season, meaning both can amuse themselves and their fans and climb higher in the AFL ladder than expected. So, hurry up to choose your favourite in advance.

By the way, though the AFL has banned media workers from betting on matches, they can still wager on their favorite clubs before the events. Journalists with AFL accreditation, radio and TV reporters, photographers, cameramen, and the production staff can all access online and offline sportsbooks before each game, but they can’t bet on competitions live, as they are more informed about the events.
