Another Hearing on Online Poker in New York

The Racing, Gaming and Wagering Committee is about to hold a hearing on the options concerning online poker in New York.
New York legislators will keep a hearing on the possibilities of online poker on September 9. According to US gambling news, the bill was crafted by John Bonacic the Republican New York State Senator from the 42nd district. Unfortunately, there chances are extremely low to pass the bill this year. Bonacic seeks to familiarize the Senate Racing, Gaming and Wagering Committee with his points so the bills can pass in 2016.
A similar bill was brought up in 2014 with one significant difference. The previous legislation included a clause that would have banned all online wagering assets. The new bill would allow to allot 10 licenses with 15% tax rate from the revenues and a 10 million dollar license fee. Chances are, that the committee will be more open to this new amendment.
In Pennsylvania, the situation of online gambling is similarly hazy. The matter of online poker sites in Pennsylvania is neglected in favor of the pension reform and education funding. Pennsylvania plans to omit the raise of taxes with the revenue from online gambling. California holds a parallel position, as legislators weren’t able to resolve the question of online gaming.
California authorities are dealing with serious problems like wildfires. Motherjones.com reported about 4,382 wildfires in 2015 that “scorched a total of 117,960 acres, more than double the 5 year average for this time of year.” Yahoo News confirmed that today “the US military is sending hundreds of troops to help tackle wildfires raging across parched California.”
