Hollywood star Matthew McConaughey has not formally entered the Texas gubernatorial election race. However, he has given it true consideration. So, will McConaughey eventually step on the stage as a politician, or he will keep his leadership role out of politics? Who will he challenge? Does he have a real chance of winning? Just recently Texas native Matthew McConaughey said at The Balanced Voice podcast that a potential bid to govern the state of Texas in the 2022 election was “a true consideration”. The numbers look very promising for McConaughey. One reason is likely his name recognition as a beloved actor. The other reason is him being a centrist.
