Bet365 joins BetVictor, William Hill, bwin party, BetSafe and other famous online gambling providers on the Romanian Casino Blacklist.

Bet365 is the newest addition to the Romanian casino blacklist. As we previously reported, Romania is collecting all the operators that cross the current gambling laws in Romania. The list features prominent brands like BetVictor, William Hill, bwin party and BetSafe. The main reason behind the inclusion is that they didn’t suspend services until the official approval from the National Office from Gambling in Romania.

The Office stated that they’ll withdraw Bet365’s license, therefore the famous sportsbetting and casino operator will be permitted to offer any gambling services to Romania-based players. The current situation is confusing since both Bet365 and bwin party were approved for licenses after sorting their back-taxes. bwin party paid €8 million while Bet365 approx. €30 million. The new conditions and Romanian gambling laws were finalized in May, 2015.

The Romania Journal revealed that “the company was warned not to allow people who access the website with IPs from Romania or the access of Romanian players and to remit them the money placed in the gaming account.” The authorities provided 30 days for Romanian players to withdraw the money from their accounts, an “interval after which the access on the website will be restricted.”

RON 10,000 fine for players that use the services of the sites included in the Romanian Casino Blacklist

This situation is hard on the players as well, as the authorities will fine them too. ”The participation of individuals (natural persons) on Romanian territory in remote gambling activities […] that have not been authorized by the ONJN, constitutes an infraction punishable with a fine of RON 5.000 to RON 10.000,” puts the official statement.
