The Spurs have decent potential to replicate results achieved last season, despite appointing a fresh manager.

Tottenham appointed Argentinian Mauricio Pochettino as manager following the sacking of Tim Sherwood after a mere six months at the helm of the club. Pochettino has a challenging task ahead of him as a number of players that were brought in last season didn’t perform as expected. He now has to find a solution on how to accommodate some players.

Online sportsbooks in the UK believe that the Spurs have a solid opportunity replicating their last season’s results by once again clinching a spot among the top six of the table. Bet365 has given them odds of 1.40 (2/5) to finish in top six, which effectively makes them one of the favorites.

Spurs made wise transfer decision

Spurs have bolstered their squad with some interesting signings. Currently three defenders have joined the team. DeAndre Yedlin, Eric Dier and Ben Davies were transferred from Seattle Sounders, Sporting Lisbon and Swansea respectively. Also Dutch goalkeeper Michel Vorm was purchased from Swansea to help keep the ball away from goal.

They have sold midfielders Jake Livermore and Gylfi Sigurdsson to Hull City and Swansea respectively. Bet365 has also assigned Tottenham odds of 2.00 (1/1) to notch over 66 points during the Premier League campaign.
