Success of Maryland Live! casino firm one of the reasons behind the state’s record earnings in the month of April.

The reason behind the substantial success, is linked to Maryland’s four casinos, which generated much of the earnings through their operations. In addition, Maryland Live! Casino also contributed a great deal to the overall revenue.

Overall gaming revenue increase 15% from a year prior, without taking into account Rocky Gap Casino Resort which commenced operations last May.

Maryland Live! posted revenues of $56.5 million in April, equivalent to a rise of 21.3 percent from a year before. The casino is state’s largest, as it offers a wide variety of playing options for players. It contains 4,322 slot machines and 177 table games.

The casino also makes use of its mobile casino division, which has garnered praise from the players, for delivering a great service.

Hollywood Casino Perryville earned $7.7 million, a decrease of 8.8 percent from last year’s April. While a casino at Ocean Downs also experienced a slump of 8.6 percent from a year before, as it recorded revenues of $3.6 million.
