The Bill Brennan story

Many people have probably seen the movie Ocean’s Eleven, in which a bunch of bad guys wants to rob a casino with the help of a mastermind. However, in real life, one person is enough, it seems. Bill Brennan, who was last seen on September 22, 1992, was an employee at the Stardust Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. That fateful day, he came in and started working as usual. However, during his lunch break, Brennan picked up $507,000 worth of cash and chips and left. No one saw him, and no one knew where he had gone.

When the police investigated his apartment, they did not find anything. He soon made it to the FBI’s Most Wanted list, but they never found him. According to his colleagues, he was a loner, but no one would have expected him to leave like that. There are several theories as to what happened to Brennan after the robbery. According to one at online casino sites in the US, he is alive and well, living somewhere in South America with the stolen money, if there is anything left.

Another theory is that casino management found Brennan, took the money back, and killed him, while the third theory mentions an accomplice with a regular whom Brennan befriended. The worst-case scenario is that they planned the robbery together, but after going through with it, his partner killed him for the money. The creepy thing about the whole story is that no security camera recorded anything. He must have prepared for a long time to disappear without leaving a trace. Whatever the truth is, Bill Brennan is still a missing person to this day.

Creepy casino investigations – Terri McClure’s case

On January 4, 1983, 62-year-old Terri McClure left her home in Reno to attend her son Tim’s wedding. After the ceremony, the wedding party went to play in a casino, and later Terri headed home. The next day, Tim wanted to visit his mother but did not find her at home and immediately notified the police. Two days after the missing person report, they found Terri’s body in her car, parked in the parking lot of a Carson City casino. Someone shot the woman twice, but the creepiest part comes now.

After the police took the testimonies, Tim was the prime suspect of the murder, namely because Terry had large life insurance, which thus went to Tim. Tim claimed that after his mother left the wedding reception, he played for two more hours. However, no one could confirm his alibi. Both he and his new wife were subjected to a polygraph test, and they told a rather controversial story which made it a creepy casino investigation. So the police’s suspicions grew, but they had no direct evidence, only a phone call from Tim asking to block one of his mother’s credit cards.

This was also suspicious, but Tim claims the clerk got the date wrong and blocked the card the day after she died. At his own request, the man told his side of the story on a TV show, after which the police tried to get new evidence and finally charged him. However, the Nevada court did not even take the case to trial due to a lack of evidence. Tim was acquitted, and, until they find new evidence, the police cannot charge him with his mother’s murder. We still don’t know who killed Terri McClure or why. Who knows? She may have won big money in the casino, and someone wanted it. Also, it could have been the result of a series of misfortunate events.

Jodie Bordeaux murder

Jodie and her husband, Shawn Bordeaux, lived in an Indian reservation and worked at the local casino. She was a staff supervisor and had trouble with an employee who got fired later. One night in 1997, someone started shooting outside their house, and one of the bullets hit Jodie. She died from her injuries immediately. It’s even sadder because the young woman was seven months pregnant, and they couldn’t save the baby. Shawn suspected who might be behind it, and the clues led back to the local Indian casino.

Many people didn’t like that Jodie was working there without Native American blood in her veins, and she even got a high position, becoming the supervisor of the slot machine department. After getting fired, the employee who repeatedly voiced his displeasure made sure to get Jodie in trouble. So she had to leave until the council decided about her job. After that, she started getting anonymous threats. Even though everything seemed to line up perfectly, and despite all the circumstantial evidence, no one was ever charged. So Jodie Bordeaux’s death is still an unsolved case.

Creepy casino investigations – Horizon Casino heist

On November 9, 2003, a Horizon Casino employee was about to leave the building to take his break outside when a man in a mas, wearing a Dallas Cowboys jacket, pulled a gun on him. He forced him to go to the cash register and hand over the money there. According to online casinos sites in the US, the robber said he had hidden two bombs in the building, and if anyone dared to call the police, he would detonate them.

The attacker took off with approximately $60,000. A few hours before the robbery, a bomb alarm went off in a casino a few miles away. Plus, the nearby elementary school was also set on fire. So a good part of the law enforcement agencies focused on these two cases. Of course, the employees and gamblers got scared but didn’t know what to do other than leave the building.

Since then, the police have not found out who the masked attacker was, who was able to make everyone take him so seriously. Oh, one more thing about this creepy casino investigation. They found a shoebox in the building, but it turned out to be not a bomb. The man really thought of everything, or he hid a real bomb in a very secure place! Which would explain why they are still looking for it! Gambling from home at All Jackpots Casino might sound better after that! Check out other mysterious gambling cases!
