Cyclo-cross cycling is one of the toughest sports as athletes have to race in very difficult terrain containing wood trails, grass, steep hills, and other obstacles. The Cyclo-cross World Cup usually takes place between September and January. While this year it started only in October. 16 rounds are held in the season in six different countries, with races being held on almost every weekend. The next stop will be in Tabor, the Czech Republic on the 14th of November when the best cyclists will compete in both the men’s and women’s categories. In the women’s event, Dutch riders are the strongest after winning the overall world cup four times in the last five years. Lucinda Brand is the defending champion and she also leads the standings this season. But she is facing tough competition from her compatriots and other young rivals.

Cyclo-Cross World Cup Tabor Odds Favor Dutch Top Riders

Lucinda Brand is the defending world champion and world cup winner. The 32-year old cyclist has started this season strongly as well after already winning one world cup race. Besides finishing on the podium three more times. Brand also won the Cyclo-cross European Championship last weekend on home soil and will arrive at Tabor in top form. No surprise that online sportsbooks in the Czech Republic mention her as the main favorite. Her odds to win the race are 2.875. But even she can be beaten as it has already happened in other races.

Like in Zonhoven, where another great Dutch cyclist, Denise Betsema won the race. She also got three more podium finishes and has exactly the same points as Brand at the top of the overall standings. A fantastic start of the season from Betsema who won the bronze medal in last year’s world championship. But the sand specialist might struggle a bit in Tabor where she finished third last year. Her odds to win now are 3.50 in the Cyclo-Cross World Cup Tabor odds. While another Dutch rider, Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado has only one podium finish this season. This is slightly disappointing from the 2020 world champion and explains her odds of 10.00 to win now.

Vass and Honsinger are Also in The Favorites

Online gambling sites in the Czech Republic mention the young Hungarian rider, Kata Blanka Vas in the favorites. They offer the same odds, 3.50 for her victory as what they do for Betsema’s. At the age of only 20, Vass is a huge talent of the sport who can already fight for the world cup title this season. She got her first win in Overijse two weeks ago while she also finished third in the American race at Jingle Cross. The all-around rider also competes in road cycling and in mountain biking, where she also achieved great results. Now Vas can try to get another cyclo-cross podium finish in Tabor where she was fourth last year.

From the American cyclists, Clara Honsinger has been riding the best so far after finishing third in one of the US races in Fayetteville. The 2019-20 American champion was fourth in the world championships at the beginning of this year. But she might perform even better on home soil in the next one in 2022. Her odds to get her first World Cup victory this weekend are 7.00. We should also mention another Dutch cyclist, Annemarie Worst who was close to getting on the podium three times this season but hasn’t managed to do that yet. The 2018 European Champion is surely capable of winning as she has shown in this year’s World Championship. Where she won the silver medal. Now her odds to win in Tabor are 13.00 on 22Bet.
