The darts European championship betting odds 2019 favour Michael van Gerwen who is the top seed at the Unibet Darts European Championship 2019.  It will be held in Gottingen, Germany between the 24th and 27th of October.

The European Championship is held by the 12th time.  It represents the 32 best players of the European tour events ranked in the European Tour Order of Merit. The favourite is the Dutch giant, van Gerwen who has been dominating in the last few years. Last year’s champion James Wade and runner-up Simon Whitlock will be there too.  Second seed Ian White is also competing for the title and the £120,000 prize money.

Darts European Championship Betting odds 2019: Van Gerwen and his opponents

Van Gerwen is the current number one on the world ranking, he has won the PDC World Championship three times in the last five years. He has also won the most PDC Pro Tour events with 75 at the moment. He has bypassed a legend, Phil Taylor’s record, who won 70. This season Van Gerven has won 4 European Tour Events out of 13, it looks very unlikely for anyone to beat him. According to the darts European championship betting odds 2019, his odds is 2.38 to win the tournament.

Van Gerwen is the top favourite, but even he can have a bad day and lose against an opponent. The second favourite, Rob Cross’ odds is 6.50, they can meet in the quarter-final.  First though Cross needs to beat Darren Webster in the first round. The betting odds for Peter Wright is 8.00 and for Gerwyn Price is 13.00.

Ian White played against van Gerwen in three European Tour finals this year, winning once. Joe Cullen has managed to beat van Gerwen as well in this tournament. Online sportsbooks in Germany are only giving White 23.00 odds to win, while Joe Cullen’s win would mean a lot of money for anyone betting for him (126.00).

In the first round on Thursday, fans can already see a big game between former champions Adrian Lewis and Simon Whitlock. Lewis is slightly in favour with 1.73 odds against Whitlock, 2.10. Van Gerwen as a top qualifier is starting against the 32nd, Ross Smith, with 1.12 for van Gerwen’s win.
