Former Google Executive is New Betsson Chief Marketing Officer

The new Betsson chief marketing officer is Marion Gamel, a former Google executive and recent vice president of marketing at Eventbrite.

In Sweden gambling news, Marion Gamel will take up her new post as Betsson chief marketing officer in January. She will split her time between the company’s Stockholm and Malta offices.

Gamel had most recently served as the vice-president of marketing at Eventbrite. Prior to that, she’d held leadership roles at Google for seven years. She’d first joined Google in 2003 and helped found the online search engine’s European marketing team, before going on to manage marketing in UK and Ireland.

The new Betsson chief marketing officer was an innovator at Google

Prior to joining the internet gambling in Sweden, Gamel had made significant contributions to Google. She’d launched ‘Adwords’ and ‘AdSense’ in the UK, as well as consumer products such as Google Maps, Google News, and Gmail. She’d also created the popular branding campaign ‘Doodle4Google’.

Gamel eventually left the UK branch of Google in order to head the company’s operations in India. Her last post at the online search engine company was as head of marketing of emerging markets.
