The two companies co-operate in developing gambling anti-fraud and geolocation solutions.

Location-based technology provider GeoComply issued a press release for the British gambling news, announcing its partnership with MaxMind. The two companies are working together on anti-fraud solutions for the internet gambling industry.

GeoComply CEO, Anna Sainsbury states: “We have been witnessing a much greater demand for a full KYC and anti-fraud solution within the gaming industry, particularly with operators and suppliers looking to launch online gaming projects in the US.“

MaxMind is a recognized provider of IP intelligence, specializing in online fraud detection tools, serving online casinos in United Kingdom and other establishments around the world.

Sainsbury added: “Our anti-fraud capabilities, now enhanced by MaxMind, will allow us to better serve our customers with secure, spoof-proof location technology to address their regulatory and legal obligations.”

Detecting fraud issues such as bonus abuse, money laundering, and various payment problems are essential to protect business and revenues in online gambling. Knowing the players’ exact location can be essential in determining if they are allowed to play on the online sites.

MaxMind Business Development Manager Peter Saczkowski says his company was quick to strike up a partnership with GeoComply due to their existing relationships with regulators and gaming providers.

Saczkowski commented: “We are always looking for ways our data can solve business problems across industries. MaxMind’s proven fraud detection tools combined with GeoComply’s existing location solutions will give Internet gaming stakeholders the assurance they need to safely conduct business online.”

GeoComply offers regulators and operators a reliable, secure and user-friendly solution for the geolocation of online users. The company focuses on iGaming, financial and digital rights industries affected by British gambling laws and other regulations.

Thousands of companies of all sizes rely on MaxMind’s GeoIP geolocation and end-user data for the purposes of fraud prevention, ad targeting, content customization, digital rights management, and more. MaxMind’s minFraud service leverages this data along with IP and email reputations to help merchants prevent fraudulent online transactions and account registrations.
