Summer is almost wrapped up, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t still some incredible events that those who like to bet on sports in the UK can wager on. In September there will be a number of fantastic betting options, some of which are more strange than others.

Instead of looking at some normal things to wager on like football matches or a boxing match, we’ll take a look at some of the weird events you can bet on in September, and try to give you some information to help you make the most educated wager. Without further ado…

Bet on the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship

Hurling in itself is quite a bizarre sport, and the championship match of the All-Ireland Senior division will be taking place on September 3rd. Sporting fans have access to some great odds for all three teams. Let’s take a look at who’s the favorite.

Hurling Championship betting odds
  • Galway: 4/9
  • Cork: 7/2
  • Waterford: 5/1
The 130th staging of this event is nearly at its conclusion. Qualifiers are already finished, and it’s Galway who’s coming in as the favorite with odds of 4/9. They are already in the final match and will be looking to play either Cork or Waterford for the championship.

Both Cork and Waterford have looked great throughout the tournament. They are facing off on Sunday, and Cork is the slight favorite with odds of 7/2. Waterford has one of the top scorers in the entire tournament and hold odds of 5/1 according to BetVictor Sportsbook to get the championship victory.

Bet on the Vuelta a Espana

Okay, so a cycling event might not be one of the strangest events you can bet on September, but we had to mention it as it’s offering some incredible odds to cash out. The final tour of the 2017 cycling season will see many of the best riders in the world competing against each other.

At the moment, Chris Froome is the betting favorite. The 32 year old recently captured his 4th Tour de France victory despite not winning a single stage. He’s without a doubt at the top of his game right now and holds odds of 5/6 to get the victory in Spain.

Rigoberto Uran is coming in as a slight underdog this year with odds of 20/1, although many cycling betting experts feel this is his tournament to win. He’s an extremely well-rounded rider and might offer the best chance to make money.

Bet on the All Ireland Senior Football Final

Another Irish sporting spectacle is also one of the best events you can bet on in September. The All Ireland football championship began in May and will conclude on September 17th. Only four teams remain in contention, each of which has some great odds to win.

Dublin is entering as the betting favorite right now. They dominated Monaghan in the first round of the playoffs and will be taking on Tyrone in the next round. Dublin has arguably the most talented roster and holds odds of 11/10 to get the final win.

If you want to go with the underdog, consider betting on Mayo to make UK gambling news with the victory. Not many analysts are banking on them getting past Kerry but if they do it’s possible they’ll go all the way.
