Here we’ll take a look at a few of the best US golfers competing today, and what their odds are to win the upcoming US Open.

The US has produced some of the best golfers in the world over the past century. Today there are numerous American players at the top of the rankings, many of which have won multiple PGA titles. In this article we’ll take a look at some of the best players today, and their odds to win the 2017 US Open set by Intertops.

Dustin Johnson

32 year old Dustin Johnson is the number one ranked player in the world right now. The South Carolina native turned professional in 2007, and has since won 17 professional tournaments, including the 2016 US Open.

2017 US Open betting odds

  • Dustin Johnson: 7.00
  • Rory McIlroy: 9.00
  • Jordan Spieth: 11.00
  • Jason Day: 12.00
  • Hideki Matsuyama: 19.00

2016 was the year that Johnson truly shined. After his US Open win, he was named the PGA player of the year, and won both the Vardon Trophy and Byron Nelson award. Johnson is unquestionably one of the best US golfers in the world right now, and is understandably one of the 2017 US Open betting favorites according to almost all online sportsbooks in the US.

Johnson has finished in the top 10 twice in his first four events of 2017. He’s looking great so far this year, and has the highest odds of 7.00 to win the US Open.

Jordan Spieth

At just 23 years of age, Jordan Spieth is already considered to be one of the best US golfers in the world today. He turned professional in 2012, and has already won 12 major tournaments. In 2015, Spieth went from a promising young player to one of the best in the world, winning both the Masters and the US Open.

Jordan picked up a win at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-AM in his 100th professional tournament this year, but finished 11th at the Masters Tournament. It’s evident he’s continuing to improve every year, and has a real shot at winning the US Open this June.

There is some serious competition, but Spieth’s odds to win the US Open are some of the highest in the whole tournament. Intertops lists his odds to win at 11.00.

Rickie Fowler

Rickie Fowler may not have the name recognition that Spieth and Johnson have, but there’s no doubt he’s one of the best US golfers in the world. Of all the players on this list however, he’s the only man who is yet to win a major PGA Championship.

Fowler turned pro in 2009, and had his best year in 2014, placing in the top five of all the major PGA tournaments. Many golf betting experts predicted Rickie would go on to become one of the best players in the world, but he’s failed to find any major success since his impressive run a few years back.

Nevertheless, he still has some of the best skills in the world, and has a great shot at making US gambling news with an upset victory at the US Open. If Fowler can play like he did earlier this year at the Honda Classic, he may very well earn the victory. At the moment, his odds to win are set at 29.00.

All three of these men are considered to be the best US golfers in the world right now. The 2017 US Open will begin on June 15th, and those looking to bet on golf in the US will find the best odds at Intertops. Tell us who you think wins this year in the comment section below!
