Professional wrestling is still one of the most popular sports in the world, but due to the prevalence of match-fixing, is it possible to bet on WWE contests?

The WWE puts on more shows every year that almost any other sporting promotion. There seems to be an event almost every single weekend, and the four annual major Pay-Per-View events consistently generate massive income for the company.

The big problem for those that want to bet on WWE events is that most online sportsbooks in the US don’t offer betting lines! It is common knowledge that WWE matches are scripted, and therefore most betting sites refuse to include them in their list of sports.

With that being said, betting on the WWE isn’t illegal, and a number of sportsbooks do offer betting odds for the major events. Hundreds of thousands of fans buy these shows, and it seems likely that many of them would enjoy betting on the matches.

Which Sportsbooks offer WWE betting lines?

It is not exactly clear how popular it is to bet on WWE matches, but some of the best internet sports betting sites will offer lines. NetBet is one such site that that offer WWE betting odds. The next PPV event (the 2017 Royal Rumble) is not until January of 2017, but NetBet is already offering odds for the event.

The favorite to win is the former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar, and fan-favorite Seth Rollins. Both wrestlers are former WWE World Champions, and are likely the two most popular wrestlers in the WWE at the moment. Both of their odds sit at 4/1. John Cena, Finn Balor, and Kevin Owens are not far behind at 6/1. For the ultimate gamble, NetBet lists Hulk Hogan as a 500/1 underdog, but even the craziest gamblers of all time probably won’t be putting down money on the wrestling legend.
