Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg are known for their fierce competitiveness, which has propelled the British driver to label their rivalry a game of poker.

Formula 1 has a solid reputation when it comes to showcasing aggressive battles between drivers, however now the most talked about rivalry is the one between teammates of Mercedes. The British driver is currently enjoying a 10 point lead over his German partner, and with four races to go until the end of the season the stakes are quite high.

All throughout the year the drivers have clashed creating a tense atmosphere within the team, according to gambling news. Hamilton did not follow the order relayed to him to let Rosberg pass during the Hungarian Grand Prix and admitted a competitive feud has increased this season. “The battle does feel a lot more intense this year.”

Now on the other hand he has to face a man that shares many of the same aspects as him. “Now I’m racing against a guy who has the same car as me. We both have access to exactly the same data and feedback, so it is really hard to try and be ahead.”

Hamilton also added, “It’s a little bit like playing poker. You have a set of cards and the other guy is not supposed to know what you’ve got, but Nico and I can see each other’s cards, so then it’s more difficult to beat each other.” Mobile betting firms have tipped Hamilton to seal his second title this season since first winning it in 2008.
