Highly touted MMA prospect Josh Emmett, one of Team Alpha Male’s most exciting fighters, will soon be back in the cage.

The buzz surrounding Josh Emmett has been growing for years. After nine straight wins as a professional, the Team Alpha Male product finally got the call to fight inside the UFC Octagon. He took full advantage of that opportunity by winning a hard-fought battle against fellow up and comer Jon Tuck, despite suffering a horrible hand fracture.

After healing his wounds, Emmett was scheduled to face another undefeated prospect in Jeremy Kennedy, but an injury in training forced him to pull out of the fight. Now, he has been booked to fight in his hometown of Sacramento against Scott “hot sauce” Holtzman.

A win could push both men closer to the top 15

Many in the MMA community are praising Emmett as a future title holder, and a win over Scott Holtzman would add some validity to those claims. The grit he showed in his lone UFC fight speaks volume about his toughness, but he is competing in arguably the toughest weight class in MMA.

He will be facing another fighter hungry for the win in Scott Holtzman, who last defeated Cody Pfister by unanimous decision in July. The Knoxville, Tennessee native has only one loss in his career, dropping decision against Drew Dober. A victory for both men would be huge in pushing them up the lightweight rankings.
