Norwegian player wins EUR 7.3m jackpot playing Hall Of Gods on Betsson.

For some lucky ones, Christmas has already started in October. A Norwegian player has hit the massive EUR 7.3 million jackpot playing Net Entertainment’s Hall Of Gods online video slot on the Betsson gambling website.

The man is his early forties was playing online on Tuesday 23rd October. After a few spins, he has hit the second multi-million Euro jackpot bonanza to be paid out on the Hall of Gods Viking-themed slot this year.

A Net Entertainment spokesman revealed that the company has paid out more than Euro 29 million in jackpot winnings to date. The firm says that this figure could soon be extended, because another Net Entertainment slot title, Mega Fortune, has a jackpot exceeding Euro 6.8 million.

Per Eriksson, president and CEO of Net Entertainment opined that the high liquidity of games offered by Net Entertainment with full accordance to the Norwegian gambling laws lets progressive slots jackpots build quickly.

A progressive jackpot increases a small amount every time a game is played. All virtual machines are "linked" together to create one huge progressive jackpot. The jackpot grows quickly because multiple players raise the jackpot parallel at the same time.

Eriksson commented on the multi-euro winning, saying: "We would like to congratulate the winner on his huge success and we look forward to hopefully making many more millionaires in the coming months.”

The lucky player did not share his plans for the big money to the Norwegian gambling press. One thing is sure though: he will keep on playing, mostly his favorite type of casino games: the online slots.
