In the past we’ve seen F1 seasons done and dusted by now. Not this year. This year we’re going to be on the edge of our seats until the final chequered flag. With just two races left, Max Verstappen leads the championship, but not by enough to clinch it. That’s why online sportsbook sites in Saudi Arabia like Bet365 have started to lean towards Mercedes. They now give Lewis Hamilton much better odds on the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix than on the Dutchman.

You can probably take the odds on the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix with a pinch of salt. Oh sure, at first glance they seem fair enough. Lewis Hamilton ahead of Max Verstappen. After all, you can always bet on Mercedes to do well in the desert. However, the full story is a little more nuanced. Not least because those odds on Lewis Hamilton take into account he’s getting a new Engine. Barring disaster this should give him an edge over the Red Bull around the Jeddah Corniche.  We will get our spicy equipment out.” Said Mercedes boss Toto Wolff. “We have got the more powerful engine to go in the car.” Thus we get those odds on the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix. Online bookies simply believe the silver arrow is likely to be faster. However, no one is sure. Least of all Wolff. “If we look at the track in Saudi, I think it should suit us.” He said. And that’s true, it should. But you don’t have to bet on sports in Saudi Arabia regularly to spot the issue.
Odds On The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix
  • Anyone Else – 100/1+
  • Carlos Sainz – 80/1
  • Pierre Gasly – 66/1
  • Charles Leclerc – 66/1
  • Lando Norris – 66/1
  • Sergio Perez – 20/1
  • Valtteri Bottas – 12/1
  • Max Verstappen – 5/2
  • Lewis Hamilton – 4/9

Pressure Builds On Championship Rivals

The issue is that this is the inaugural running of the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix. So, whilst the conditions are likely to be familiar, the actual circuit is all new territory. Just what happens at that ninety-degree turn one is anyone’s guess. You sure can’t bet on Max Verstappen braking early, and Lewis is in this to win this. Thus, they may easily come together with almost random results both for the race and the season. So, the odds on the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix are just a tad moot.
F1 Drivers Championship Odds
  • Max Verstappen – 6/5
  • Lewis Hamilton – 4/6
Want to bet on Lewis Hamilton backing off? Or see the odds on Max Verstappen retaining his cool? Both drivers are under immense pressure now and so the odds on the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix are almost aspirational. Barring disaster for either man, this season should go down to a winner-takes-all final showdown. Unfortunately, if you’re a Saudi Arabian gambling laws of common sense will ensure a decent racing finish, I wouldn’t necessarily count on that happening.

Bet365 Has All The Odds On The Saudi Arabia Grand Prix

Sure, you can guarantee Mercedes rushing away to start, and bet on Red Bull to charge after them. What we’d like to see is a close battle between the two. However, this will require the stewards to stay out of the way, and as we’ve all seen; they just can’t do it. You can always bet on F1 to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. So, just as when things are going well, the odds on F1 stewards suddenly deciding to affect the entire championship are unfortunately quite low.
Odds On The F1 Constructors Championship
  • Red Bull – 11/5
  • Mercedes – 4/11
Just who the stewards will penalize and for what remains to be seen. You just know they’ll be unable to resist the temptation to turn a race into a legal argument. So when taking up the odds on the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix from online betting sites in Saudi Arabia like Bet365, just beware. The odds on F1 spoiling its own triumph aren’t as high as on the winner. Which, strangely, thus probably makes Valtteri Bottas at 12/1 a good bet on the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix.
