The border twixt celebrity and politics blurs even deeper as more famous faces think they could bet on the US Presidential Election falling their way.

We all saw what name recognition, some media savvy and a wholesale denial of reality can do. So why wouldn’t an ever growing number of celebrities think they can enter the political fray and win? Sure, you can always bet on politics in the US to attract a few oddballs, but after Donald Trump it’s open season. They’ve no excuse not to give it a go, not now. So we take a look at seven of the A-listers who might one day be an interesting bet on the US Presidential Election.

1. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson

This is the most likely celebrity bet on the US Presidential Election. You can already find odds on him to win in 2024. He has consistently failed to deny an interest in a political career and made sure to steer clear of controversy. Naturally, as one of the most bankable stars in the world, his popularity is undeniable. So his odds on the US Presidential Election might currently be a little long, so what? He’s still young so just give it another eight years or so and watch him run.

2. Dr. Oz

Dr. Mehmet Oz, of daytime TV fame, is the newest celebrity on the political block. He just recently announced a run for the Senate in Pennsylvania. Indeed you may want to bet on Dr. Oz if he gets through the Republican primary. He could find that difficult. The Trumpian wing of the GOP is already ranging against him. Still, if he gets through and wins he may prove a nice bet on the US Presidential Election one of these days at online sportsbook sites in the US like Bovada.

3. Jay-Z

This isn’t as much of a stretch as it might at first appear. Sure, you’ll not see any prices for a bet on the US Presidential Election in 2024 featuring him, but it’s only a matter of time. Politics is a good business and Jay-Z is a very savvy businessman. So he could find himself irrevocably drawn to the world of politics. Obviously, the odds on Jay-Z actually winning would be quite long. People might compare his run to that of the far less intelligent and talented Kanye West.

4. Taylor Swift

Some tout her as the Democratic dream candidate. With almost universal appeal and a good sense of the dramatic she could be just what they need. Naturally, it’s a little early to look at online betting sites in the US like Bovada hoping to find odds on Taylor Swift. However that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t bet on Taylor Swift one day standing for President. There are plenty of people nearby who would encourage her to bet on the US Presidential Election being winnable.

5. Oprah

She ruled it out in the past, but people have been known to change their minds. She could well change hers, especially if the alternative candidates are a bit bleak. Of course, you can bet on Oprah getting a rough ride from the rightwing media. Just look at how they attempt to portray Kamala Harris. So you can bet on the US Presidential Election process ripping into her past. That’s why online bookies in the US like Bovada currently give odds on Oprah of around 100/1.

6. Tom Brady

Now you can already bet on Tom Brady to run. He, like Oprah, gets 100/1 at online sportsbook sites in the US like Bovada to win in 2024. He has declared no interest in running, despite lots of enquiries from the media. However, he too may find the pressure to move into politics after his sporting career tricky to stave off. So whilst you shouldn’t bet on the US Presidential Election seeing Brady battle for the White House just yet, he too is a very plausible candidate now.

7. Will Smith

The former ‘Fresh Prince’ could bring fresh blood to the political sphere. He’s certainly said it’s something he’d like to try. However before you rush out to find odds on Will Smith becoming President, and take advantage of US gambling laws to back him, do remember, he’s not unrealistic. He knows it would be an uphill battle with, unlike Hollywood, no guaranteed happy ending. Something all the celebrities on this list know. Politics is far riskier than stardom.
