This year, in less than three months, three major golf stars are going to enter the 2020 Masters race. The 84th edition of the tournament is going to take place in Augusta National Golf Club, from the 9th to the 12th of April. All the golf fans have already started to deal in the championship, trying to predict who will get the precious green jacket this year. Today we have prepared the list of potential and odds to win Masters 2020.

Rory McIlroy - red-hot favorite

Born in Northern Ireland, Rory McIlroy has defended his home country, England, Ireland and Europe in various tournaments and contests. McIlroy was number one in the Official World Golf Ranking for 92 weeks. After winning European Tour in 2009 and two PGA Tours in a row (2011, 2012), he became one of four golfers who won three majors by the age of 25. McIlroy aims to complete his career with a Grand Slam, and winning the 2020 Masters is an important step to accomplish his goal. Obviously, there is no chance he will give up easily.  Moreover, he is one step away from receiving the number one place in the Official World Golf Ranking again. To date, Rory McIlroy is oddsmakers’ red-hot favorite, with +900 odds at BetOnline

Brooks Koepka - will the knee injury prevent Koepka’s victory?

The second co-favorite in the list, Brooks Koepka, is on the top of the Official World Golf Ranking from 2018.  In May 2019, Koepka defended his PGA Champion title, which also helped him to stray the World Number One. He also took the second prize in the 2019 Masters Championship.

After the 3-month rehabilitation from a serious knee injury, Koepka has recently made a comeback. However, his 2020 debut in the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship wasn’t a great success. Koepka himself admitted that even after recovery his knee won’t function the same way at least for a while. On the other hand, with such a great professional record, there is no doubt Koepka will show a decent golf game. According to the online gambling sites in the USA, Koepka has +1000 odds to win Masters 2020, which makes him a runner-up to Rory McIlroy.

Tiger Woods - the 6th green jacket?

Three weeks ago, Woods announced that he is planning to return to the course. His intention is to defend his champion title at the 2020 Masters. It is obvious why Woods is among three co-favorites of this year. He holds numerous golf records and he won 15 major championships during his professional career. Last year was the 5th time Woods won the honorary green jacket. Currently, he is the second runner-up to Brooks Koepka with +1000 odds. The only factor which plays against Tiger Woods is his age - competing with 29-year-old Koepka and 30-year-old McIlroy is definitely going to be a challenge.

Obviously, it is extremely hard to defend the green jacket, and only three players in history managed to do it. But Tiger Woods is among those three and he wins the 2020 Masters Tournament, he may be able to break the legendary Jack Nicklaus’s record.

Jon Rahm - the first major in 2020?

A 25-year-old Jon Rahm, the professional golfer from Spain, is the youngest player on our list. During his amateur career, Rahm stayed on the top of the World Amateur Golf Ranking for 60 weeks. He was also ranked number two in the Official World Golf Ranking. But will Rahm actually win his first major in 2020? Following the three elite players, Rahm occupies the fourth place with +1200 odds to win Masters 2020 at BetOnline.
