According to a new report, online gambling in Pennsylvania would prove really profitable for the state budget.

Play Pennsylvania’s report says that legal online gambling in the state could produce $426 million by 2022. The estimate is based on the example of one of the few states offering some sort of legal online gambling: New Jersey. The licensing fees alone would accumulate to $126 million in profits. The proposed 20% tax rate on the online casino’s revenues would bring $46 million in 2018. Based on Play Pennsylvania’s recent survey, Mont Airy, Harrah’s, and Mohegan Sun would benefit the most with their online divisions. According to US gambling news, legalizing online gambling will be a hot topic in the Pennsylvania legislature, as lawmakers are counting on the revenue for the 2017-2018 budget.
