Russian becomes first millionaire in a $5 Spin & Go Tournament

Kevin Schulz from the USA celebrated his PCA Main Event win of $1,491,580, in which 816 poker players participated. He defeated Diego Ventura, from Peru, heads-up. PokerStars SportStar Ronaldo finished 26th for a $42,180 payday. Entries for the PCA High Roller event upped to 269, which was won recently by Ilkin Garibli from Azerbaijan. He beat Joe Kuether heads-up, getting the first prize of $1,105,040. While, a delighted Russian made gambling news when he scooped up $1 million in Spin & Go, which took place on Monday and lasted less than 14 minutes. The two runners-up were awarded $100,000 for their great efforts. The $1m Spin ‘n Go promotion will continue until the end of January.

Global Main Events

Meanwhile in the MiniFTOPS Main Event, PokerStars guarantees $400,000 in prizes. The event, scheduled for Sunday, January 18 at 13.30 ET, will see the buy-in at $75, with the option to re-enter for the first 18 levels. Satellites into the tournament are now available, starting at a low $0.55. Poker fans will be glad to know that Events 23-29 are also running between now and Sunday.

While over in Australia poker players have the APPT 9 at $8, 800 Buy-in to look forward to from January 25 to February 1. The wider festival, which started January 14, includes a total of 21 events. Moving back over to Europe Poker fans can also enjoy the UKIPT Main Event, from January 21-25 taking place at London’s Hippodrome Casino in accordance with UK gambling laws. A total of 12 events make up the entire UKIPT London stop.
