Raúl retires from football in the end of the NASL season, which will happen in November. The retiring legend said that he hopes to be able to say farewell to his career with a title, for which he and his side have pretty good chances. Raúl, the beloved legend from the USA to Quatar

Raúl’s professional career started in the season 1994-95. He was home-grown player of Real Madrid and made his debut for the first team being only a 17 years old youngster. He spent 16 years at the Royal Club, won 6 La Liga and 3 Champions League titles among many others. Then in 2010, he left Real Madrid and joined Schalke 04 where he became favourite player of the German supporters as well as the Spanish football fans. He stayed 2 years in Gelsenkirchen before moving on to Quatar and then conquering the USA.

Raúl’s retirement might not mean his actual quit from football world

Now online gambling sites in the EU keep guessing if he will become a manager in the near future. Whatever his decision will be, Florentino Pérez has assured him several times that he is always very welcome to return to his home, Estadio Santiago Bernabéu. In addition, when he signed his contract with New York Cosmos, one of the clauses stated that he will be able to gain full control over the American team’s youth system upon his retirement. We will soon find out what his next step will be, until then, football world can sadly say goodbye to another retired legendary footballer.
