SIS Parx Service Comes to First US Operator as Paddy Power Attempts to Increase their Stake

Paddy Power, the giant Irish bookmaker, has announced it will become the first gambling firm in the US to make use of the Parx live horseracing stream service from Satellite Information Services (SIS). The news and sports coverage providers’ service will provide racing coverage from Philadelphia Park, while the service will be available on Paddy Power’s mobile and online sportsbooks in the US.

The news comes as SIS has added extra coverage to its SIS+ service, with racing from Louisiana, Finger Lakes in New York and Delaware Park joining its existing tracks. Online betting continues to grow as changes to US gambling laws liberalize the market.

Speaking on the deal, a Paddy Power spokesperson commented: “Paddy Power racing customers have high expectations and the combination of live streaming and fixed pricing means we can continue to deliver the highest quality product.”

The statement continued: “We are very impressed with the level of engagement to date from our customers with this content, both online and on mobile. We hope to be able to expand the offering in the near future”

Paddy Power has been building upon its mobile betting offerings in recent times, offering their bettors greater choice week by week. The new SIS deal is seen as a major move to enhance this service further and set the bookmaker apart from their rivals.

Meanwhile, George Irvine, the Managing Director of betting and international at SIS, was also pleased: “We’re constantly reviewing our services and making additional content available where possible. Increasingly, we want to make that content available across other platforms, too.”

“We worked hard to restore racing from North America to our independent customers and we were also able to get agreement to offer Parx coverage as a streaming option to SIS+ customers who wanted to use it online. We’re delighted Paddy Power has become the first to take up that option.”
