Let’s Start with a Funny One!

An American man rowed more than 60 kilometers in a massive carved-out pumpkin. According to online sportsbook sites in the UK, Duane Hansen uniquely celebrated his 60th birthday. He carved out hundreds of kilos of pumpkin to function as a boat, then sat it on the Missouri River and rowed from eight-thirty in the morning until seven in the evening. It was 38 miles, 61 kilometers, setting a Guinness World Record.  In addition to the birthday celebration, he wanted and prepared to set a new Guinness World Record. Even the officials assigned to justify the record attempt were surprised by what they saw because they originally thought the man was just trying to float down the river in the mammoth vegetable from Bellevue to Nebraska. The previous record for sailing in a pumpkin was twenty-five and half miles, slightly more than forty-one kilometers.

Recently, a 22-year-old Dutch guy entered the Guinness Book of World Records with an extreme act! As a fitness and bodybuilder vlogger, challenges are part of his every day. Stan Bruininck, or as most people call him, Stan Browney, undertook stunning sports Guinness Records in 2022! According to online sportsbook sites in the UK, he wanted to break one of the craziest world records for pull-ups. He climbed onto the soles of an ascending helicopter on a runway in Belgium.  His friend, Arjen Albers, who is also known for the videos on the YouTube channel called Browney, tried to break the record first. He did 24 pull-ups in one minute, which was better than the record of Armenian Roman Sahradyan that he set in 2021. However, Browney followed that up with 25 pull-ups in 60 seconds, making him the current Guinness World Record holder! Albers and Browney’s successful record-breaking attempt was preceded by several weeks of preparation, for which they even rented a helicopter.  It took the two determined athletes 15 days to find a helicopter, and until then, they practiced on a slippery PVC pipe hanging on ropes. Normally, the exercise is performed on a fixed pull-up bar, but this time the aim was to simulate the circumstances, taking into account that the sole will be more slippery and thicker, plus the helicopter will also be moving. Doing a pull-up is challenging even in an average environment but try it a few meters above the ground, slipping from a floating vehicle!
