The Spanish player started out as a football player but at the age of 12 he chose tennis over soccer. He turned pro at the age of 16 and has been a strong competitor ever since. He is the first man who has won eight Grand Slams when he defeated David Ferrer in the 2013 Roland Garros final. He won five of his French Open titles in a row, becoming the only player who has ever won five consecutive titles on the Garros. Nadal is also the third to win the French Open and Wimbledon in the same year. He has a record of 27 ATP Masters titles as well. The list of his achievements could go on forever but it is fair to say he is an incredible player.

Looking at the result of online sportsbooks in the US, last season or even this year’s results it is obvious that Federer would be on top but before that there were a good few years of Nadal beating him. Federer is known for his elegant technique. He is hands down the most flawless tennis player in history. He has 17 Grand Slam titles and has been leading the world singles ranking for 302 weeks. The Swiss is one of the older players with his 32 years but is on a rise. The old battle of Nadal and Federer has turned into a battle with Novak Djokovic who beat the Swiss in yesterday’s Italian Open final.
