  • Wallin made Fury suffer in 2019 despite the loss
  • Breazeale is close to retirement

The first top-tier heavyweight boxing fight of 2021 is about to take place in February. The Swed Otto Wallin will take on Dominic Breazeale in a non-title bout. More skilled with better boxing IQ Wallin is the favorite, as per Wallin vs Breazeale betting odds. However, in the heavyweight division, one punch can change everything.

The two top heavyweights Otto Wallin and Dominic Breazeale are meeting at the Mohegan Sun Casino, Connecticut on 21 February. Their fight will be at the undercard for the main event of the returning Adrien Broner against Jovanie Santiago. The bout is scheduled for 12 rounds. But of course, in the heavyweight division, it is hard to expect a fight to go the distance easily.

Online sportsbooks in Sweden give an edge to Otto Wallin over Dominic Breazeale. That is very much reasonable after what Wallin did to Fury in 2019. However, Breazeale remains dangerous at Wallin vs Breazeale betting odds. The simple reason is that in the heavyweight division one punch at any time can change the outcome in a surprising way.

Wallin deserves a lot of respect after his loss to Fury

The 30-year-old Swedish heavyweight Otto “All In” Wallin hopes to get a world title shot next year if he prevails at all his 2021 fights. Wallin holds a record of 21-1 with 14 KOs. His only loss came against Tyson Fury in 2019 in a unanimous decision. However, that loss arguably made him break into the world boxing scene.

Although he lost to Fury, he made Fury suffer a lot from a terrible gash along his eyebrow. In many places around the world that injury would make the referee stop the fight and give a victory to Wallin. But, because it was in Las Vegas, Fury was able to continue until the end and win by points.

Wallin returned to the ring on 15 August 2020 against Travis Kauffman, winning by stoppage in the fifth round. Now he is ready to fight again this time against Breazeale. In an interview with RingTV, Wallin said “I would not be in this fight if I was not confident I could win… He is big, strong, has some nice knockouts. But I feel like I am faster, with better hand speed, smarter, better offense, and better defense.” That is a fair analysis of Wallin being the favorite with 1.36 odds at Bet365 sportsbook.

Breazeale has a chance at Wallin vs Breazeale betting odds

The 35-year-old former 2021 Olympian Dominic Breazeale from California fought just once in the last two years. It was in May 2019 against Deontay Wilder, where Breazeale was knocked out in 137 seconds. Before that fight, Breazeale faced only one defeat and it was against the champion Anthony Joshua in 2016.

Breazeale holding a record of 20-2 with 18 KOs needs an impressive win to stay in the sports as he is entering his final years. He is an aggressive fighter and has a size advantage over Wallin. Therefore, some analysts at online sportsbook news sites in Sweden support Breazeale to win with 3.00 odds.

In late February and early March, another two exciting heavyweight boxing fights are coming up. Joseph Parker vs Junior Far odds are available for the fight to be held on 27 February. A week later we will see Povetkin vs Whyte 2 odds.
