The Four Categories for the World Cup Ticket Prices 2022 

First of all, there are four different categories that fans can choose from in the World Cup ticket prices 2022: Category 1 tickets
  • They offer the best views in the stadiums; their costs are 800 Qatari riyal for the group games. (One riyal is 0,28 Euros or 0,27 Dollars.) 
  • For the opening game between Qatar and Ecuador, they cost 2250 riyal. The match will be held on the 20th of November at the Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor. 
  • Knockout stage tickets are between 1000 and 3480 riyal 
  • The cost of a category 1 ticket for the final is 5850 riyal (approximately 1642 Euro). Online sportsbooks in France predict their team to feature there again. 
Category 2-3 tickets
  • They offer a seat with a less-premium view, so their costs are cheaper.
  • Category 2 tickets cost 600 riyal for the group games, and between 750 and 2400 riyal for the knockout stage.
  • For the final, the prices of category 2 tickets are 3650 riyal (€1024)
  • You can follow group games for 250 riyal (€70) in category 3.
  • They cost between 350 and 1300 for the last 16, quarter-final and semi-final games.
  • You can get a ticket to the final for 2200 riyal (€617) in this category.
Category 4 tickets
  • They are only available for residents of Qatar who can follow the group games for only 40 riyal (€11).
  • They cost 200 riyal (€56) for the opening game. 
  • Their prices vary between 70 and 500 riyal for the knockout stage (€20 and €140)
  • Local fans can watch the final for 750 riyal (€210)
Accessibility tickets are also available for all games, they cost between 40 and 750 riyal. 

How to Buy the Tickets?

As you can see, the organizers try to attract local residents with really cheap tickets, while international fans should pay the usual prices. They can get the tickets through the FIFA website after the Last Minute Sales Phase is open now.  Tickets are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, and they are subject to availability. All successfully purchased tickets are confirmed immediately to the ticket applicants. Visitors or local residents can also buy their tickets in the Ticketing Centre at the Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiyah Arena.  Another important information to keep in mind is that all fans need to register for a Hayya (Fan ID) Card before entering the stadiums.
