Bournemouth v Swansea

Bournemouth, who play in the Premier League (EPL), are in very good form despite their loss to Tottenham. Not long ago they were the best team across the last five games. If they continue playing like this, they should get close to top-10. They surely will beat Swansea who are an average Championship side. According to Bet365, Bournemouth have a 1.36 chance to win and Swansea 6.55.

Bristol City v Nottingham Forest

Bristol City surprisingly beat injury-stricken West Ham United, despite their current position in Championship – 15th out of 24. On the other hand, Forest barely got through Blackpool. Not only did they draw them in the first game, but they managed to have their 0-2 lead slip away. Because of each team’s last result, even bookies are not that sure that Premier League’s Forest can beat Bristol City. They give Bristol a 3.25 chance to win and 2.10 to Forest.

Chelsea v Aston Villa

This is one of the most exciting fixtures in the 4th round of the FA Cup. Chelsea are on a good run at the moment losing one game in 5. They are still playing in the Carabao Cup and have a good chance to win it. Despite all their troubles they have had this season, Chelsea’s season might be saved by the cup competitions. Aston Villa have been amazing and are currently 3rd in the Premier League. However, they are never good away and Stamford Bridge is a tough venue. Bet365 give 2.15 to Chelsea and 3.25 to Aston Villa.

Sheffield Wednesday v Coventry

This is a fairly balanced fixture of equal teams. Wednesday have been struggling in Championship all season, while Coventry are in contention for Play-Offs to Premier League’s next season. The teams played one of their games at Coventry’s ground where the home team won 2-0. Whatsoever, bookmakers’ FA Cup Round 4 betting tips still put a lot of hope on Wednesday as they give them a 2.45 chance to win and 2.7 to Coventry.

Tottenham v Manchester City

The highlight of the entire 4th round. A reinvigorated Spurs team will face City. Both teams are in good shape, although Spurs could have been even better if Maddison was available. City have De Bruyne back and his impact was instant against Huddersfield and Newcastle. What might be in favour of Spurs is the fact that City have never even scored at the Tottenham Stadium.  Still, Bet365 gives Spurs only a 4.67 chance to advance to the 5th round while City are given 1.67 odds.

Ipswich Town v Maidstone

One of the best Championship sides, Ipswich will face a non-league club Maidstone. To be fair, it is remarkable to see such a club so far in the competition and there might be a slight chance they will go further. Ipswich started their season incredibly well but over the past month results deteriorated and they were pushed by Southampton in 3rd for the direct promotion spot. Whatsoever, sportsbooks in the UK believe that Ipswich with ease advance to 5th round with a 1.12 chance while Maidstone are given only 15,00.

Everton v Luton

A very interesting game. The teams clashed earlier in the Premier League and Luton took a surprising win 1-0 at Goodison Park – a shambolic result for Everton who are facing yet another charge and possible points deduction for FFP breach. Luton have had a very good season despite being 18th at the moment right behind Everton in 17th. Everyone expected them to be the weakest of the newly promoted teams but they showed they have teeth too, especially against top-6 teams. Bet365 believe Everton should advance that is why they are given a 1.61 chance to do so and Luton only 4.75.

Leeds United v Plymouth Argyle

A Championship clash. Leeds are in 4th and looking for Play-Offs or maybe even direct promotion spots. Plymouth are struggling in the half bottom of the table but at the moment relatively safe from relegation. They have played one game this season which ended 2-1 to Leeds at their home ground, Elland Road. Bet365 put Leeds as favourites to advance further with a 1.25 chance. Compared to Plymouths 8.25, this is a huge difference.

Leicester City v Birmingham City

Yet another Championship clash but with a much bigger difference between teams. The Foxes are currently leading Championship and are favourites to win it, while Birmingham are 19th and very close to relegation zone thanks to Wayne Rooney’s terrible management who lost the majority of games played. This should be an easy game for Leicester, following the 2024 FA Cup Round 4 betting tips.

Sheffield United v Brighton and Hove Albion

A decent Premier League teams’ fixture but predictable on its face. Brighton have had a good season although it could have been better after beating Man United and Newcastle, and leading their Europa league group. Sheffield have been not up to par this entire EPL season and it looks like they are going to be mathematically out of it by April. Bet365 give them only 4.75 chance to advance. Compared to Brighton’s 1.60.

Fulham v Newcastle United

Another game where Premier League sides collide and this time those are evenly matched. Newcastle have had a potential to become a giant-killer this season but failed miserably and the injury crisis does not help their state. They are 10th in EPL, out of European competitions after 4th place in Champions League, and have been out of Carabao Cup for a while despite winning against Manchester City. Fulham might play a weaker side though, as they are looking to edge out on Liverpool three days earlier to advance to the Carabao Cup final. For any Fulham fan this competition is more important than the FA Cup at the moment, unless they of course lose or draw to Liverpool. Bet365 rates the teams’ chances close but with a small margin in favour of Newcastle – 3.20 to Fulham and 2.20 to Newcastle.

West Bromwich Albion v Wolverhampton Wanderers

120 years ago this fixture would be typical for a title decider. These days West Bromwich are in the Championship and looking to find ways to promote themselves. Wolves are one of the better mid-table sides in EPL despite being horrendously unlucky with terrible VAR decisions. Gary O’Neill has done a very good job within the club. Bet365 give West Bromwich a 4 to 1 chance of advancing through while Wolves deserve 1.8 in their opinion.

Watford v Southampton

Both Watford and Southampton are looking to promote themselves to the next Premier League season. They are in 8th and 3rd in the Championship respectively, however what is not noticeable until one looks at the standings. There is a 16 points gap between the teams but it is not visible in the odds for this fixture. While Watford are given 2.90 by the bookies, the Saints have only 2.25 which is strange considering their performance this season.

Liverpool v Norwich

Probably the most one-sided fixture in the entire round. Liverpool are currently in fight for all four trophies – Carabao Cup, FA Cup, Premier League (1st), and Europa League (1st in the group). If Liverpool succeed in advancing to the Carabao Cup final, they can definitely rest some of their squad in the Norwich game. Norwich are firmly sitting in 11th in Championship and are not looking like a side capable of getting a promotion to English Premier League. Bet365 give Liverpool 1.08 chance to advance while Norwich have only 25 to 1 chance to go through to the next round. Quite a margin.

Newport v Manchester United

A mid-table League Two Newport will face non other than Manchester United. Despite United’s current poor form, this most likely will be a beating. They weren’t convincing against Wigan the two weeks ago but still went through. Newport are rather anxious about their place in League Two. Even if they advance (which is very unlikely), they eventually will face the likes of City or Liverpool and this might be game over; however, this game will surely bring a lot of money to the club since this is how it works when a big team comes to League One/Two side. Overall, FA Cup Round 4 betting tips define the game as an easy road for Man United.

Blackburn Rovers v Wrexham

A Championship against League Two clash which might end up in a shocking result. Blackburn have not been all that good this season and are fishing to stay in the Championship. Wrexham are 2nd in League Two with a game at hand. Incredible rise from the National League was apparently just a beginning for a club owned by Ryan Reinolds and they are aiming at a direct promotion to League One. Even though Bet365 give Blackburn a 1.57 chance to advance and Wrexham, we think it might be a draw and a replay at Wrexham’s ground which will bring them the win.
