Gambling in Zambia
In Zambia, most forms of gambling are legal and regulated by the government. Zambia has a much better regulatory body for gambling than many other African nations.
The Tourism and Hospitality Act of 2007 created guidelines for casino operations, including the licensing and taxing of casinos. The State Lotteries Act created regulatory guidelines for the State Lottery, and the Betting Control Act regulates and issues licenses for bookmakers.
Online Gambling in Zambia
Internet betting in Zambia is not very popular amongst locals. While internet use in this country is much higher than many other African nations, it is still very low by western standards at just 15.4%.
The government does issue licenses to gambling operators in the country, and there is one major online gambling sites operating inside Zambia called Sports4Africa Zambia. International online gambling websites are legal to play here as well.
