The 2020 PCS summer odds on the winner are currently available, with the regional league about to kick off. Hong Kong’s Talon and Taiwan’s Machi remain the two top favorites to capture the trophy.
According to online sportsbook news in Hong Kong, 12 LoL regional leagues around the world are on the horizon. Among the newly formed leagues is the Pacific Championship Series for Southeast Asia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. The PCS summer regular season will be contested by ten teams with eight to qualify for the playoffs.
Due to the variety of locations of participating teams, the league is taking place online. It will include a number of veteran esports teams against an array of new organizations. However, according to the 2020 PCS summer odds, the spring champions Talon and runners-up Machi will likely lead the title race.
Among other top regional leagues taking place in the summer is indeed LEC, LPL, LCS, and LCK. You can have a look at the 2020 LCK summer odds. You can also check out the 2020 LoL World Championship betting predictions. To skim through the best LoL odds check out the review about Bet365 Sportsbook.
Talon Esports have been dominant in 2020
The newly formed Hong Kong team have recently won the Mid-Season Showdown. It was their second championship win within the month. Earlier this year they have claimed the title of PCS 2020 Spring Split Champions. With an impressive performance and aggressive play, they managed to defeat the 1st seed Machi Esports in five games at the PCS grand finals.
While based in Hong Kong Talon have achieved victories in Taiwan, South Korea, and Thailand. They are enjoying a great 2020 campaign, and that will likely continue for the summer. Thus, should they add the PCS summer to their list of accolades, their odds value 2.87 at Bet365 Sportsbook.
Machi Esports continue to improve
The Taiwanese team have improved a lot since joining the spring regular season. In the preseason power rankings, most casters ranked Machi in fourth place. However, they exceeded expectations with the second-place finish in the playoffs. As per online sportsbooks in Hong Kong, Machi’s improvement will likely continue in the summer. Their odds to win are 3.10. But, to win the PCS summer, they will have to topple Talon down, which is a tough challenge per se.
Other contenders at 2020 PCS summer odds
Should we see an upset made by lower-tier contenders, it will probably come from ahq eSports Club or Berjaya Dragons. ahq eSports Club (3.00) ware formed in 2012, and they have represented the LMS region in multiple World Championships. They were consistently the top team of the League, and they recently finished third in the Spring playoffs. Whereas, BJD (15.00) from Malaysia have managed to wow fans, analysts, and casters with their impressive plays in the spring. They have rightfully managed to secure 5-6 in the Spring playoffs. Yet, it remains to be seen if any surprises will truly take place.
