The 2020 Masters will take place in London between the 12th and 19th of January. Judd Trump is the reigning champion, and 2020 Snooker Masters odds are predicting again his and Ronnie O’ Sullivan’s battle for the title with only 2 hundredths difference between their odds.

After the PDC World Darts Championship, the iconic Alexandra Palace will host another great sport event, the 2020 Snooker Masters next January. Maybe the atmosphere is slightly different than during darts, with less singing and cheering fans. But it is one of the most important events in the sport with tickets being sold out within 24 hours.

2020 Snooker Masters odds are predicting a Trump-O’Sullivan battle

Judd Trump is leading the world ranking and online sportsbooks in the UK are believing he can defend his Master’s title. But the real legend of the sport, Ronnie O’ Sullivan has almost the same odds for winning the tournament, with 3.96. He has the most wins in the Masters’ history with seven wins. In the new year, he can easily get his eight one in the new year.

But let’s go back to Trump, who won the Masters this year, defeating O’Sullivan in the final. He is also the reigning world champion, and won the previous UK Championship in 2018 as well, making him complete the so-called Triple Crown. He has reached his career-best this year, the question is if he can continue his great form. Looks like the answer is yes so far as he has just won the Northern Ireland Open defeating O’Sullivan again in the final. His odds to defend his title is 3.94. at the 1xbet sportsbook.

So there are plenty of reasons for Sullivan to take revenge, and win back the Masters title. He is having a good year, but certainly not his best. He has won the Shanghai Masters in September and reached the final on the Northern Ireland Open. But compared to his best seasons in 2017-18 and 2018-19, when he managed to win five ranking events, his form hasn’t peaked yet this season.

First The Rocket will have the chance to fight back in the next big event, the UK Championship, where he and Trump can meet again. To learn more about the players and their chances, read our UK Championship betting predictions.

Neil Robertson is proof that non-UK players can also be successful in snooker. He is the only Australian to have won a ranking event, but he hasn’t stopped there. The Melbourne Machine has won the World Championship in 2010 and The Masters in 2012, he is currently fourth in the world ranking. His recent form looks encouraging as he has just won the Champion of Champions tournament in Coventry defeating Trump in the final. Last year Robertson reached the semi-final in the Masters. In the 2020 Snooker Masters odds, he was given 6.00 to win the event and 3.74 to reach the final.

We can find another non-UK player in the favorites, Ding Junhui, who was also mentioned in our article about the 5 best Asian snooker players. He has won 13 major ranking titles so far, including two UK Championships and two Shanghai Masters. He won the Masters once, in 2011. Last year he also reached the semi-final, like Robertson, but couldn’t defeat O’Sullivan there. His odds to win now are 17.00 with 1xBet.

Online gambling sites in the UK are also mentioning another British favorite, Mark Selby. He has the chance to win the title for the fourth time in his career. Selby was leading the world ranking between 2015 and 2019 March. At the moment he is only in the sixth place. He might be back on track as he won the English Open this October after a year without any victory. His chance now to be back on top at the Masters is 8.90 with 1xBet.
