The best ranked eight players of the ATP Tour are taking part in the season-ending championship, the ATP Nitto Finals. The 52nd edition of the tournament is held at the inside court of the Pala Alpitour in Turin, Italy. Players are divided into two groups as usual, with the first two players from each group advancing to the semi-finals. Roger Federer holds the record with six wins. But the Swiss star won’t compete this time after missing most of the season due to injury. So the world No1, Novak Djokovic has a chance of equaling Federer’s record now after already winning the event five times before. But the Serbian won’t have an easy job in the field, which includes last year’s winner, Daniil Medvedev, and other top players.

The 2021 ATP Finals Winner Odds Slightly Favor Djokovic

Novak Djokovic first won the ATP Finals in 2008, the year when he got his first Grand Slam title in the 2008 Australian Open. The Serbian player got his next four wins between 2012 and 2015 in four consecutive years. But he hasn’t managed to win the Finals ever since. Which is slightly surprising from one of the best tennis players of all time. And the winner of 20 Grand Slam tournaments. Djokovic reached the final of the event two more times, last in 2018 when Alexander Zverev defeated him. Now he will have another chance of winning his sixth title here and crown his amazing season.

In 2021 Djokovic won the Australian and the French Open, Wimbledon, and most recently the Paris Masters. But even he can be beaten as was shown by Daniil Medvedev in the 2021 US Open. Or by Alexander Zverev in the Tokyo Olympics where the Serbian only finished fourth. Still, no one is surprised that online sportsbooks in Italy favor him to win the tournament with the odds of 2.325. Medvedev follows him in the 2021 ATP Finals winner odds with 2.965. The Russian has been having a superb season too after winning his first Grand Slam title in this year’s US Open. Besides winning his fourth Masters title in Canada and reaching the final of the Australian Open. The 25-year-old world No2 started in Turin with a win against Polish Hubert Hurkacz and can meet Djokovic in the final easily.

Tsitsipas, Zverev, and the Rest Of The Field

The world No3, Alexander Zverev is in the same group as Medvedev which can make his path more difficult. The German won the ATP Finals in 2018, defeating Djokovic in the final. But he couldn’t qualify for the semi-finals last year. Zverev had some great results this season like winning the Olympic title in Tokyo. Or reaching the semi-finals at the French and the US Open. While he also won two Masters titles in Madrid and in Cincinnati. Zverev played a lot though and lost against Medvedev in Paris two weeks ago. So we shall see if he can go all the way and win this tournament. He has the odds of 5.45 to do so on 22Bet.

Another former winner of the ATP Finals, Stefanos Tsitsipas is also in the field. The Greek started the season strongly by reaching the semi-finals of the Australian Open and winning his first Masters title in Monte-Carlo. He achieved his best result in the French Open though. Where he got to the final and lost against Djokovic in five sets. But after that Tsitsipas didn’t receive such results and has been struggling with injuries lately. Online gambling sites in Italy offer the odds of 9.00 for his victory. While the local favorite, Italian Matteo Berrettini has the smallest chance of winning according to the bookmakers. Even though he reached the final of this year’s Wimbledon and moved to his career-best 7th place in the world rankings.
