The 2021 Golden Globe Best Actor nominees have been announced in both comedy and drama categories. We can find legendary Anthony Hopkins and Gary Oldman in the drama nominees where Chadwick Boseman is the favorite. While Sacha Baron Cohen is predicted to win in the comedy category according to the 2021 Golden Globe Best Actor odds. The nominees of all Golden Globe categories have been announced this Wednesday with five contestants remaining in all of them. One of the most prestigious awards will honor the Best Actors starring in drama and comedy/musical films. Last year Joaquin Phoenix won in the Best Actor - drama category with his amazing performance in Joker. Now Chadwick Boseman is the top favorite who sadly passed away last August at the age of only 43. But this fact can even increase his chances beside his great performance. He plays in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, a Netflix film about legendary blues singer Ma Rainey and her ambitious horn player, played by Boseman. Online sportsbooks in the US also mention two veteran actors in the favorites. 83-year old Anthony Hopkins who has never won any Golden Globe in spite of his seven previous nominations. Now he has the odds of 6.00 to do so with his role in The Father. And Gary Oldman who played in David Fincher’s latest film, Mank playing screenwriter Herman J Mankiewicz. Borat against Hamilton in the Best Actor - Musical or Comedy category

Cohen played in the sequel Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, which was widely popular with fans. And it looks like even HFPA members liked it and nominated Cohen. While another musical’s lead actor, James Corden is also in the nominees for his role in Netflix musical The Prom. As Corden is more known about his TV show than his acting roles, his victory would be a big surprise and has the odds of 9.00.
