The 2022 MotoGP season continues this weekend at the Red Bull Ring in Austria where the 13th race of the season will be held. Francesco Bagnaia is in top form after winning the last two events. And the Italian is the top favorite again by the 2022 MotoGP Austrian race odds. But surely the current championship leader, Fabio Quartararo, and his main challenger, Aleix Espargaro will also aim for victory.

Set in picturesque surroundings, the Red Bull Ring at Spielberg, in Austria will host the MotoGP field for the seventh time this year. Ducati riders have been the most successful at this track thanks to Andrea Dovizioso’s three victories. While Brad Binder got the win for KTM last season. Ducati will surely hope for a similar performance from its current riders, Jack Miller, Johann Zarco, and Enea Bastianini. Or from the top-form Francesco Bagnaia who won the last two races in the Netherlands and in Great Britain. The reigning world champion, Fabio Quartararo is leading the overall standings but he didn’t have the best race in Silverstone. While six-time MotoGP champion Marc Marquez is still recovering from his latest surgery.

Bagnaia Leads the 2022 MotoGP Austrian Race Odds

Francesco Bagnaia has been having a very mixed season so far with four retirements and four race wins. The Ducati rider won the last race before the summer break in the Netherlands and also the first one after their return. He hopes to continue in a similar style and keep on winning. Online sportsbooks in Austria also favor Bagnaia for the win and offer the smallest odds, 2.50 for his victory. As we mentioned, Ducati has performed well in this track in the previous years, just like Bagnaia who finished second here last season. Recent results have put quite a lot of pressure on the current leader, Fabio Quartararo.

The French champion was leading confidently until the Dutch race where he crashed out. While he only finished in 8th place in Silverstone. The bad news for Quartararo is that the Red Bull Ring is not the strongest track for Yamaha. Even though he finished third here once, in 2019. Based on his form this season, Quartararo is still a big favorite for the win according to the 2022 MotoGP Austrian race odds with 5.45 at 22BET. Going back to Ducati, another rider of the team, Jack Miller comes on the list next. The Australian is currently in sixth place in the championship with four podium finishes. He also got a third-place finish in this race in 2020 and the odds of 7.00 for the win now.

Aprilia and KTM riders can also perform well

Aleix Espargaro is in second place in the overall standings, 22 points behind Quartararo. But with a win in Spielberg, the Spanish rider could get even closer to the leader. Espargaro can achieve the best result of his career after his 7th-place finish in the 2014 Championship. He won his first ever MotoGP race in Argentine this year and finished third on four more occasions. Even though he only finished 9th in the previous race, it was still a solid result. As he was racing with a broken heel. Now online gambling sites in Austria also offer the odds of 7.00 for the Aprilia rider’s victory.

His teammate, Maverick Vinales had a much better race in Silverstone after the Spanish finished in second place. It was his best result of the season following his weaker earlier performance. Based on the last two races, he can finish on the top of the podium in his 200th race. Last year’s Austrian GP winner, Brad Binder will aim for his first win of the season. The South African rider is currently in 7th place in the championship with only one podium finish. But it is the home race of the KTM team which will be supported by an army of fans. Binder’s odds are not too hopeful with 35.00. Three-time Austrian GP winner Andrea Dovizioso has been struggling with his Yamaha bike all season. He is only 22nd in the overall standings explaining his odds of 498.00 for another win at the track.
