This will be the fifth edition of the Next Gen ATP Finals where the best under-21 men's tennis players compete.  As the event is an exhibition tournament, there are several unusual rules that are used here. Like sets are shorter as the winner is the first player to win four games. After a 3-3 tie, a tiebreak decides the winner of the set. And there are technical innovations eg. using a live electronic line calling, while players can also use wearable technology. The participating eight players are divided into two groups of four and start in a round-robin stage. The best two players from each group will qualify for the semi-finals, the final is held on Saturday. The top three ranked participants, Carlos Alcaraz, Holger Rune, and Jannik Sinner have withdrawn from the competition. So, the home fans hope for the victory of their favorite this time.

Musetti Leads the 2022 Next Gen ATP Finals Odds ahead of Nakashima

Lorenzo Musetti won his first-ever ATP Tour title this summer in Hamburg. And he also won in Napoli last month. Now the 20-year-old Italian is the top favorite of online sportsbooks in Italy to win this tournament. They offer the smallest odds, 2.50 for his victory. Musetti will be playing in the red group along with Jack Draper, Tseng Chun-hsin, and Dominic Stricker. One of his main rivals can be American Brandon Nakashima who is currently in 49th place in the world rankings. He also got his first career title this year after winning the 2022 San Diego Open in September. In addition, the 21-year-old US player reached the fourth round of a Grand Slam for the first time this season at Wimbledon. Nakashima will lead the green group where he plays against Jiri Lehecka, Francesco Passaro, and Matteo Arnaldi. And will aim for an even better result than last year when he reached the semi-finals. Now his odds to win the tournament are 3.75 in the 2022 Next Gen ATP Finals odds.

Chances of Draper and the other Players

Jack Draper has similar odds to win the tournament on online gambling sites in Italy. The 20-year-old British player is a few places ahead of Nakashima in the world rankings, in 41st place. Thanks to his four Challengers titles and good performance at the ATP Tour. As he reached the semi-finals in Eastbourne and the quarter-finals at the Canadian Open. The latter is his best result from a Masters 1000 tournament so far, but surely he can achieve even better results in upcoming years. Draper is the first British player to feature in the Next Gen Finals with odds of 3.50 to win it.  Jiri Lehecka made his debut in all Grand Slam tournaments this year, but he couldn’t win any matches yet. Still, the 20-year-old Czech player got some great results in the ATP Tour. Like reaching the semi-finals in Rotterdam and the quarter-finals in Kitzbuhel in the summer. He moved to 74th place in the world rankings and has an odds of 7.50 to win in Milan now. Dominic Stricker follows him with an odds of 13.00 to become the winner at this tournament. The Swiss youngster is still out of the top 100 and has been mostly playing in ATP Challenger events, where he has three wins so far. We can also find Taiwanese Tseng and two additional Italian players among the participants. But their victories are not too likely and have much higher odds on bet365.
