Beyonce is back on top of the music industry with her seventh studio album Renaissance. Apart from breaking several records in charts and streaming platforms, the long-play is already one of the main Grammy favorites. The newest 2023 Grammy predictions for Beyonce’s Renaissance show the pop diva’s chances to win a couple of awards next year. Take a look at them!
Last month, Beyonce dropped one of the most talked-about releases of the year. Her seventh studio album named Renaissance became a number-one topic for discussions long before its release. Online gambling sites in Australia started making predictions about the new Beyonce era right after the release of the lead single “Break My Soul” in June, to say nothing about the Renaissance premiere on July 29.
The album was warmly welcomed by critics and this fact modified Grammy predictions for Beyonce’s Renaissance. Now, Beyonce has the best chance to win at least one of the Big Four Grammy awards. Who could be her competitors this time and what are their chances to beat Queen B?
Renaissance of Dance Music: Beyonce’s New Album is Breaking Records
The release of Beyonce’s albums is always a big deal in the music industry and Renaissance is not an exception. The 16-track long-play premiered last July and immediately got positive reviews from music critics giving it the highest ratings on Metacritic, Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, and other popular editions. Most of them predict Beyonce to be the main star at the 65th Grammy Awards, but we will talk about it later.
Renaissance debuted at the top of the UK album chart. It became the fourth Beyonce solo album to reach number one in the country following Dangerously in Love (2003), 4 (2011), and Lemonade (2016). The album has also topped the charts in Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, France, Ireland, and Belgium.
Following 22Bet Sportsbook, Renaissance will debut at the top of the Billboard 200. If so, Beyonce will become the first woman to land at number one on the US album chart this year. What is more, the singer is predicted to set a new record for the biggest opening week of the year.
As a cherry on top, the album got the most single-day streams on Spotify. With over 43 million streams, Beyonce became the most-streamed female artist in 2022 so far. All songs from Renaissance debuted in the top 25, while seven of them occupied Spotify’s top 10.
2023 Grammy Predictions for Beyonce’s Renaissance
Just like other Beyonce’s albums, Renaissance immediately became one of the main favorites for the Grammy Awards 2023. Currently, Beyonce is predicted to win at least one of the following awards: Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Album of the Year. In other words, Queen B leads the odds at online betting sites in Australia to win one, two, or three “Big Four” nominations.
If Beyonce is nominated for the Grammys next year, she is highly likely to compete with Adele in the main categories. In this case, they will be rivals against each other again. In 2017, the two most successful female artists in Grammy history in the 21st century went head-to-head in four categories with Adele winning all of them. “Hello” took over “Formation” in Record and Song of the Year. “Hold Up” was taken down in the Best Pop Solo Performance nomination. Also, 25 beat Lemonade in the Album of the Year nomination the same year.
This time, the odds seem to be in Queen B’s favor. The newest Grammy predictions for Beyonce’s Renaissance show that her chances of beating Adele’s 30 as well as Harry Styles’ Harry’s House are great. At the same time, the lead single “Break My Soul” leads the odds in the Song & Record of the Year nominations. It seems like Beyonce is coming for a rematch at the 65th Grammys and we shouldn’t miss it.
