High stakes poker player and twitch broadcaster, Jason Somerville joins Team PokerStars Pro.

Well-known American poker professional Jason Somerville, otherwise known as ‘jcarverpoker’, on screen, recently joined Team PokerStars Pro. With his energy, intelligence and great poker knowledge, Somerville is a considerable asset to the world’s largest online poker brand and his popularity is global.

Somerville was brought up watching American poker television and playing videogames. He then went on to broadcast his poker passion on Twitch, an online gaming TV, approved by US gambling laws, which was a huge success, as over 3 million adoring fans watched him play live, make commentaries and give strategic advice on the video platform and the online gaming community.

New ‘Run it UP!’ poker show made its debut on PokerStars Twitch channel on March 1

Somerville has won over $6 million from tournaments he won on online poker sites in US and elsewhere. He has been live-streaming his ‘Run it UP!’ series on YouTube and Twitch, for the past one and a half years. As a Team PokerStars Pro member, he launched 'Run it UP!' Season 3 last Sunday, March 1 at 12.00 ET, on the PokerStars Twitch.

PokerStars Twitch channel is set to offer entertainment and educational shows and will include streams from other members of Team PokerStars Pro. Somerville said he was “delighted to become a member of Team PokerStars and can’t wait to resume his Run it UP! series on Twitch”.
