Bet On Moto GP Riders Making A Meal Of Silverstone This Weekend

If the Italian Grand Prix in Monza doesn't excite you the boys on two wheels are off to Silverstone this weekend and a bet on Moto GP as the hopes for Valentino Rossi fade may not have to be on Marc Marquez as Cal Crutchlow proved in Brno.

British Moto GP Odds at Bet365
  • Marc Marquez – 13/8
  • Jorge Lorenzo – 12/5
  • Valentino Rossi – 3/1
  • Andrea Iannone – 10/1
  • Andrea Dovizioso – 10/1
Many thought it a shame when Donnington Park relinquished hosting of the British round of the Moto GP season, the duties taken up by the somewhat more modern facilities offered by Silverstone, but there is a magic all of its own to see these marvelous machines sweep majestically around some of the most famous corners in the world, and if it lacks the undulations of the former home of the British Grand Prix you can bet on Moto GP racers to make quite a meal out of some of Silverstone's curves.

They should all make it around Abbey, will flow effortlessly through Farm, then bunch up and shuffle through Village and see who can get the best momentum out of The Loop into Aintree for the best possible speed down the Wellington Straight. You can bet on Moto GP riders of all teams to leave it awfully late braking into Brooklands, flipping over to go around Luffield and blazing through Woodcote, and if you like to bet on sports in the UK, try gambling who'll make it around Copse on lap one.

Bet on Moto GP Racing At Bet365 This Weekend

Maggots is deceptive, Becketts has been known to trip people up and Chapel is where you pray you have a good tow down the Hangar Straight, but it's the Stowe-Vale-Club combination straddling turn 16 that will sort the men from the boys in the final lap of a close race, and with all three classes going on Sunday Bet365 is ready with all the odds. You can watch the megastars of motorcycling come a cropper with all the inevitability of Thai police corruption at the same time as winning on the results, so let's take a look at what you can expect.

Moto GP World Championship
  • Marc Marquez – 1/16
  • Jorge Lorenzo – 9/1
  • Valentino Rossi – 9/1
  • Andrea Iannone – 1000/1
  • Andrea Dovizioso
Despite his exit from the race in Brno it's likely that in Moto3 the South African Brad Binder will continue his charge way ahead of his rival Jorge Navarro, he's already just 1/200 to take the championship, and in Moto2 the competition might be closer but Johann Zarco and Alex Rinns are the only two with any realistic hope of a championship win, and Zarco might have had a mare in the Czech Republic but anyone in the UK gambling news on Monday will be of someone else winning might be overly optimistic. You can bet on Moto GP to be exciting, but not always unpredictable.

Can Rossi Close Up On Marquez In The Last 7 Races?

Obviously all eyes will be on the main event, the top-flight Moto GP race that will pitch some of the true greats of the sport against each other in what has become a bit of a season of dashed hopes for the Doctor, Valentino Rossi, with three retirements, one from pole, but he's notably got the better of Marq Marquez the current runaway Championship leader in the last couple of races, and he'll out to close up the gap but don't bet on Moto GP to ever go quite as Valentino would wish, it so rarely does these days.

2016 MotoGP favorite
Marc Marquez of Spain is the favorite to win the 2016 MotoGP

Marc Marquez is favorite at 13/8 at Bet365 and its ilk, with Valentino Rossi in at 3/1 to win, with Jorge Lorenzo between them at 12/5 and Cal Crutchlow the surprise winner of the Czech Republic Moto GP sitting at 10/1 and after his performance in Brno that might be a very tempting reason for taking advantage of UK gambling laws and betting on the outcome of what will almost certainly be one of the most dramatic races of the season and there'll be more than a few people backing Scott Redding in front of his home crowd even at 25/1.
