WINWIN Gaming Machines Get ComTrade Gaming Technology to Comply with New Laws

Software supplier ComTrade Gaming are due to provide their sCore G2S protocol for WINWIN gaming machines across Australia. This piece of gambling news comes as WINWIN adapts its 833 terminals to new government regulations regarding a central control system.

Indeed, in the recent changes to Austrian gambling laws, it became necessary for all gaming machines to be connected to the central control system provided by Bundesrechenzentrum – the government’s official partner.

ComTrade Gaming sCore platform connects terminals to the central server to be monitored by Bundesrechenzentrum. It also allows for a number of data collection services that allow the government’s data collection arm to monitor the gaming machines in real time.

ComTrade Gaming general manager Ales Gornjechas spoke about the agreement: “This type of partnership only cements how wide ComTrade's product offering is and how it can help gaming operators, both land-based and online, further their security reach whilst still offering the end user a sleek and secure experience.”

With online casinos in Austria legal but closely monitored, gambling is relatively easy in the central European country. So long, that is, that you don’t mind your gambling habits being watched by the government at every stage. Thanks to these relaxed gambling laws, Austria attracts players from neighboring countries who would otherwise be unable to gambler freely.

Due to laws that seperate small stake gambling (50 cents or under) from other forms of gambling, players are free to gamble across the country. Large bets can only take place in casinos, but slot machines, card games and other games have sprung up across Austria, which explains the presence of such a large number of slot terminals.

With online gambling another popular past-time – indeed, Austria is home to renowned operators such as bwin – gambling is definitely liberalized in this central European country, and companies like WINWIN have a lot of competition.
