Real Madrid controversy is expected to be officially answered by the Spanish Football Association on Friday, 4 December.

The Royal Club were going to play in the 4th round of the Copa del Rey against third division club Cádiz, a game where even the most pessimistic online sportsbooks in Spain believed that Real Madrid will claim an easy victory. They did so as the Galacticos won by 1-3; however the game remains memorable since they might get disqualified due to an amateur mistake they made.

A new opportunity for Denis Cheryshev

After staying on the side line for a long while, the Russian winger was given another chance to prove his worth in Madrid. He did not hesitate to take advantage of this situation: Denis Cheryshev received a wonderful pass from James Rodríuez, and scored already in the third minute. Nobody expected what happened afterwards.

The first half was a rather boring, eventless 40 minutes after Cheryshev’s score, despite the fact that there were some other chances to score. However, what was really exciting was when Cádiz fans started singing “We love you, Benítez, we love you Cheryshev.” For a while, nobody understood what was going on, until they started checking out the news on the most important online gambling sites in Spain.

Cheryshev should not have played

Denis Cheryshev’s last Copa del Rey game was in Villarreal during the last season. They played against FC Barcelona and lost 1-3 to the Catalans. Cheryshev received a yellow card on that game, which was his third one in that season in the Spanish Cup, which means he was supposed to miss 1 Copa del Rey game. Which was supposed to be this one, against Cádiz.

Representatives of the Royal Club found out about the suspension by the end of the first half. Emilio Butragueno ran into the stadium before the first half was over, he was not willing to answer any questions. Meanwhile, Rafa Benítez and his men went back to the dressing rooms. Most internet betting sites expected Cheryshev to be substituted after this, yet he was on field, he came up to the second half. What happened as the second half started is incredibly ridiculous. Benítez realised maybe he should change so he brought in Kovacic to replace Cheryshev, after only 50 seconds, which seems completely unreasonable.

This amateur mistake could result in significant punishments for the Royal Club. Galacticos might have to leave the tournament due to disqualification if LFP takes the case seriously. However, according to several sources, the suspensions are deleted after the 3rd round, and this was the 4th round. If that rule does exist, that would mean that Real Madrid can get away without any kind of punishment at all.

This is just the top of the iceberg for Real Madrid

Florentino Pérez

Real Madrid have given reasons to lots of laughable events ever since Florentino Pérez, President of Real Madrid decided to let go of Carlo Ancelotti and replaced him by Rafael Benítez. The Spanish manager’s career started with a ridiculous transfer failure as the Whites were chasing Manchester United’s David De Gea, and have agreed on terms with the British side, however the answer came 1 minute after midnight so the transfer could not have been closed.

Then something was clearly not alright in the pre season as only 3 months passed of this season, but Real Madrid already had more than 15 injuries, some of the were actually grave. If injuries are not enough, the police is investigating the case of Karim Benzema. This time, it is not speeding or breaking his car. He might have been involved in the blackmailing case if his compatriot Valbuena, although he denies he was going to help the blackmailers.

Together with all this, RafaBenítez’s men also played their first El Clásico which resulted in a humiliating 0-4 loss at Estadio Santiago Bernabéu. All this with the ridiculous Real Madrid controvery about being disqualified from the Copa del Rey…well, something is clearly not alright at the Royal Club ever since the latest mad decision from the President of firing the successful manager, Carlo Ancelotti.
