The Fakies Awards 2018 is first edition in Donald Trump Media Awards. It’s the latest online sensation! We have no idea about the judging criteria since it wasn’t disclosed. According to the president’s twitter post, the winners will be announced on January 8 at 5 o’clock sharp. Which news agency do you think will receive the most awards?

The Fakies Awards was postponed to the 17th of January; odds updated on 9th of January.

US President Donald J. Trump is one of the most followed people on twitter with 46 million followers. On January 2, when a twitter post got out about The Fakies Awards 2018, it immediately received massive public attention. Within a short period of time, that very same post was retweeted 51,000 times. What a way to welcome the New Year!

The president’s twitter post reads “I will be announcing THE MOST DISHONEST & CORRUPT MEDIA AWARDS OF THE YEAR on Monday at 5:00 o’clock. Subjects will cover Dishonesty & Bad Reporting in various categories from the Fake News Media. Stay tuned!” We can only assume that there will be multiple categories and multiple winners.

The Failing New York Times

As an avid twitter user, Trump has nicknamed one of the most prominent news agencies in US as ‘The Failing New York Times.’ We can see from his post that he has little regard for NY Times’ new publisher A.G. Sulzberger. His twitter post implied that the NY Times are not delivering news with impartiality. So, online betting sites in US estimate the high odds of NY Times to win most of The Fakies Awards 2018 at 5/4.

Major Source of Fake News

CNN (3/4) has the highest odds to receive the most wins from The Fakies Awards 2018, according to online gambling sites in US. After all, Trump outright told us in a post saying “CNN International is a major source of (Fake) news, and they represent our Nation to the WORLD very poorly.” Knowing this fact, how can we still doubt CNN’s place as the bookie’s favorite in this little contest?

Fox News Not Part of The Fakies Awards 2018

Fox News is unlikely to be competing in The Fakies Awards 2018, according to US online gambling news. Maybe it’s a blessing, maybe it’s not. Trump has hinted in a previous twitter post that Fox won’t be included in his fake news contest.

The president wouldn’t consider Fox News’ content as fake news since they actually support him. As an example, Fox News Host Sean Hannity did a report on what the corrupt media will not tell you about the Presidents accomplishments. Even though it’s a long shot, you can still bet on Fox News to make it in the Donald Trump Media Awards with the odds of 50/1.

We can’t wait to find out which news agency will have the honor of getting the most fake news trophies. Let’s have some fun and bet on The Fakies Awards 2018 at Unibet Sportsbook!
