Donald Trump and Marc Lasry are reported to be in agreement on a new online gambling venture

Recent Fortune Magazine interview with “The Donald” sheds more light on the details of his collaboration with real-estate billionaire Marc Lasry. Trump Entertainment Resorts is expected to form a joint venture company with Lasry’s Avenue Capital Group with a view to focus on online gambling once American gambling laws change accordingly.

Trump told Forbes Magazine: “This has to happen because many other countries are doing it and like usual the U.S. is just missing out. It seems inevitable, but with this country you never know if it’s inevitable.”

He continued: ”We have been looking at this for a while. We have the hottest brand in the world according to many and we think we will do extremely well because of the Trump brand.”

United States gambling news learned that both Lasry and Trump are closing in on finding a management partner. They are rumored to host talks with individuals and companies possessing “experience in operating online gaming businesses in jurisdictions outside the United States where online gaming is currently allowed by law.”

Such experienced personnel will come in handy once US politicians finally make up their minds and online casinos in United States become legal. Trump is contemplating both for the chance of federal online gambling regulation turning into law or that New Jersey will come up with a state level regulation.

Trump and Lasry understandably have no plans to go ahead with the joint-venture without a federal or state regulation in place. In the interview to Forbes Magazine, Trump revealed that both federal and state governments will surely benefit from increased tax revenues from online gaming. In case the industry will be properly regulated that is.
