This will be the fifth CSGO festival in the calendar of DreamHack Open 2018 events. According to online sportsbook sites in Spain, DreamHack Open will run from July 12-14th, taking place at Feria Valencia. Eight teams will compete in two GSL groups. The top two from both groups will advance to the single-elimination playoffs at the end of which champions will earn $50,000. This event will be tense, as there are number of potential champions to be named. Scroll through our DreamHack Open Valencia 2018 preview to see our pick on the winner.

DreamHack Open Valencia 2018 Preview

A couple of weeks ago the Frenchmen G2 Esports were the last team to join the tournament, along with Heroic, AGO, North and Virtus.pro as the invited teams, according to internet sportsbook news in Spain. Surprisingly G2 Esports sit on top of the odds with (3.00) at Unibet Sportsbook, considering their relatively new lineup of players coming together for a little over a month.

Their last tournament was the ECS Season 5 Finals in London in June. They started that championship very low losing in the group stage. So, why online sportsbook sites in Spain picked them as potential winners is not clear, but what we can expect from G2 is to progress to the playoffs if they get the chance to dominate weaker teams Luminosity and Fragsters in group-stage.

Polish Teams to Stand Strong

With great success and growing popularity of CSGO in Poland two Polish teams Virtus.pro and AGO have been invited to the Spanish event. Virtus.pro were last seen on LAN at the CSGO Asia Championship in Shanghai, where they came in second place after losing to Natus Vincere in a three-map final. They have great experience on global level so pretty much everyone should fear them.

The odds for Virtus.pro are (5.00) at Unibet Sportsbook. You could firmly pick them as winners, or you could opt for more exciting contenders AGO who entered the scene only one year ago. There are good expectations for AGO to enjoy success as they did in League of Legends in the past. You wish to bet on the underdogs, go for AGO with (7.00) odds.

GamingZion Opt For North

North had an exciting journey in the past six months. They shocked many people in the industry by showing great ability to learn fast from their mistakes. Early this year they went to the ELEAGUE Major with low team spirit. There was no hope for them to compete. They were eliminated in swift fashion after three losses in a raw. Few months later they rebuilt themselves, and came back stronger to DreamHack Tours 2018 in France and won it all.

Although DreamHack Tours was a small step along the way and the Spanish event seems a bigger tournament, their improvement shows that they can do it. Their odds are (3.50) at Unibet Sportsbook for an outright winner. Will North show us they are the worthy ones? It remains to be seen in Valencia.
