Betting on Europa League is always fun but it becomes even more exciting and thrilling when we are getting close to the end of the tournament… the Europa League Round of 16 draw has happened, let’s see the next matches of the tournament and let’s see what Europa League betting odds predict!

The Europa League Round of 16 drawing brought us some spectacle games as well as some encounters that seem pretty one-sided at first. However, some odds upsetting matches were done in the previous round as well, nothing makes it sure that there won’t be any upsets at online sportsbooks on the next match days. Let’s see what the best odds to bet on Europa League are!

Celta Vigo v FC Krasnodar

Celta Vigo lost the first leg against Shakhtar Donetsk in Spain to 1-0. They had to come back in Ukraine on the second leg and they managed to win: 1-0 so the game went on to extra time where the Spaniards scored again. Krasnodar knocked Fenerbahce out with a 2-1 aggregated result. NetBet expects Celta Vigo to qualify with 1.50 (1/2) odds.

APOEL Nicosia v Anderlecht

The Cyprian champions were drawn against Athletic Bilbao n the Round of 32, and while most online sportsbooks in Spain expected Bilbao to go through, the Nicosia-based team managed to upset the odds and qualify for the Round of 16. They will have a tough battle against the Belgian side, whose odds to qualify are 1.55 (11/20) at Marathonbet.

Schalke 04 v Borussia Mönchengladbach

The two Bundesliga teams were drawn together, which means that there will be only 1 German team left in the Quarter Finals. Whether it will be PAOK-eliminator Schalke 04 or Borussia Mönchengladbach, who defeated Seria A star Fiorentina, it’s still early to predict. Sports betting odds at Bet365 predict a ‘Gladback qualification with the odds being 1.73 (8/11) for that while those for Schalke are 2.00 (1/1).

Olympique Lyon v AS Roma

We will have the chance to see another great derby between Ligue 1 star OL and Seria A team AS Roma. While Roma’s odds to qualify are 1.57 (4/7) at 32Red, those for Lyon are only slightly bigger: 2.40 (7/5). Both games are expected to be full of excitement and thrilling occurring. Great matches are ahead of us in the Europa League Round of 16!

FC Rostov v Manchester United

This game is one of the few encounters that is expected to be extremely one-sided. FC Rostov knocked out Sparta Prague easily but are unlikely to repeat those performances against José Mourinho’s men, who are number one candidates to win the entire tournament: their odds to do so are 3.00 (2/1) at Betway, followed by AS Roma with 7.00 (6/1) odds at Ladbrokes.

Olympiakos v Besiktas

None of the above teams knocked out major teams. Olympiakos’ opponent in the Round of 32 was Osmanlispor and they went on with a 3-0 aggregated result, while Besiktas faced and beat Beer Sheva by 5-2, winning both legs. Now the Turkish side is tight favourites to qualify, yet Coral Sportsbook expects the Greeks to beat the Turks in the first leg: the odds for Olympiakos are 2.25 (5/4).

Gent v Genk

The Belgian Superleague is on the rise and nothing proves it better than the Belgian teams performances in the European cup tournaments. Three Belgian sides are participating in the Round of 16 and there will be at least one more in the top 8 – maybe even two, should Anderlecht knock out APOEL. Gent v Genk, online sportsbooks in Belgium expect the former one to go through, but it will be a tough battle for sure!

FC Köbenhavn v Ajax Amsterdam

The Dane vs the Dutch champion, the rival country’s best teams will have a nice battle against each other in the Round of 16. While Bet365 expects Ajax to go through, setting their odds at 1.62 (8/13), FCK are not much worse with their 2.20 (6/5) odds. However, FCK starts in Copenhagen. If they will start with a good enough result at home, the chances might as well just turn around…
