Fast & Furious 9 will be out in cinemas on June 25th in the US. The film has already premiered in some European countries, Russia, the UAE, South Korea, and China. Predictably, F9 topped the box office of all these countries but will it be a domestic hit? Online gambling sites in Canada do not only say yes but also predict the movie to break a record!
Fast & Furious 9 can become the highest-grossing film in the US
The Fast & Furious franchise is one of the highest-grossing film franchises of all time. Eight films from the main saga and one spin-off have brought around $6 billion in total. How much will the ninth part of the saga contribute to the franchise?
Well, a lot of money. Since the moment of F9’s overseas release, it has grossed almost $300 million. Fast & Furious 9 broke the series’ opening day record in Korea and the best opening day ever in the Korean market with $3.4 million. In Russia, the movie grossed $16 million to date. However, China remains the biggest market so far with an impressive $203 million in three weeks.
Considering the worldwide success, F9 box office predictions in the US are optimistic. According to 1xBet, the movie is expected to gross at least $60 million in the opening weekend. If so, it will break this years’ record set by A Quiet Place II ($48 million). In addition, Fast & Furious 9 will definitely earn more than $100 million in the US and become the highest-grossing film at the domestic box office.
F9 box office predictions: to gross in total
With such an impressive international start and optimistic predictions about the US box office, will F9 become the highest-grossing film in the franchise? Most probably, not. Fast & Furious 8 holds the record as the highest-grossing film so far with $1.2 billion in total. You can bet on F9 not to break its predecessor’s record at online sportsbooks in Canada. If you think otherwise, you can also bet on the film to beat the record of the franchise.
What we know for sure, Fast & Furious 9 will definitely be a huge box office hit. As of now, the movie is predicted to gross ca. $600 million. If it managed to earn more than $850 million in total, F9 will become the highest-grossing movie of the year. Currently, Hi, Mom holds this record with $848 million worldwide.
