After the cancellation of last weekend’s Lake Louise race, an extra Super-G event will be held in the next World Cup stage in Beaver Creek. The famous Birds of Prey racecourse on the Beaver Creek Mountain returns to the World Cup calendar after 2019. After no race was held outside Europe in the previous season. First, the speed events will be held on the 2nd and 3rd of December, followed by two downhill races. All top skiers will compete including last year’s Super-G World Cup winner Vincent Kriechmayr. And the winner of the last race here from 2019, Marco Odermatt. It is the first time we can see them in action in the new season, and get a glimpse of their current forms in this discipline.

FIS World Cup Beaver Creek Odds Favor Odermatt

Marco Odermatt has started this season superbly after leading the overall standing at the moment. He won the first Giant Slalom race in Solden back in October which was his fifth World Cup victory. The Swiss skier actually got his first World Cup win in Beaver Creek two years ago. So surely he is looking forward to racing here again. The 24-year-old is a three-time Junior World Champion who specializes in Giant Slalom and Super-G.  So no wonder that online sportsbooks in Switzerland favor him to win this week. They offer the odds of 3.50 for his victory in their FIS World Cup Beaver Creek odds.

But the winner of last year’s Super-G World Cup, Vincent Kriechmayr also seems to be in great form. He finished second in the Downhill race last weekend in Canada and has the odds of 4.00 to get the win now. The Austrian is the current world champion of both speed events, the Downhill, and the Super-G. Kriechmayr has become the first Austrian since legendary Hermann Maier to win both events at the World Championship. He also won a Super-G race on this course a few years ago and stood on the Downhill podium in 2019. Making him another big favorite of both events.

FIS World Cup Beaver Creek Odds: Mayer, Kilde, and The Rest Of The Field

Another Austrian skier, Matthias Mayer is also mentioned in the top favorites with the odds of 6.00. He won the first Downhill race of the season at Lake Louise last weekend. And he can get a good result in Super-G too. The experienced skier achieved the best result of his World Cup career last season after finishing second in the Downhill and 3rd in the Super-G World Cup. But surely the two-time Olympic champion wants to finish on the top of the podium now with a great chance of doing so this season.

Online gambling sites in Switzerland offer the odds of 7.50 for Aleksander Aamodt Kilde’s win. The Norwegian won the Overall World Cup title in 2020 and the Super-G World Cup back in 2016. Last season he only finished fifth though in his favorite discipline. He also missed the world championship due to injury, so we shall see how he can return to racing now. Kilde was second behind Odermatt in the last race here which might be a promising sign. A win from any other skiers would be a huge surprise. But we still have to mention the 2019 Super-G world champion, Italian Dominic Paris who can get a good result here. And the 2021 Downhill World Cup winner Beat Feuz whose odds to win now are 26.00 on 22Bet.
