Irish online sportsbook launched NFL site with live commentary.

American football is gaining popularity on this side of the pond, too. More and more fans watch games every week and internet sportsbooks operators start to offer special deals for the matches.

As a sign of times, Irish online betting
exchange company Betdaq launched a microsite dedicated to National Football League (NFL) games. The website features hi-quality video match commentary streamed straight from the USA every week.

BetdaqNFL offers American football enthusiasts video previews on every NFL game. The previews are accompanied by all the stats and news needed to make a bet. Punters can choose between pre-match or in-match wagers. Bets can be made directly through the site.

Every Sunday from 5.45PM the site will feature a live stream match commentary from the sUSA. John Arnette, Betdaq’s resident NFL expert, gives his insights and analyzes the actions while they are happening, giving important tips for bettors how to put they wagers while the game is running.

According to Betdaq, the Irish company is the first in the UK and Ireland to have a dedicated site for NFL. BetdaqNFL operates under Irish gambling laws, and is accepting wagers in EUR and GBP.

Shane McLaughlin, marketing director at Betdaq, commented: “The popularity of American Football in the UK and Ireland is bigger than ever and we saw the need to offer punters a dedicated NFL site.”

McLaughlin added: “NFL is a great sport for in-running betting with huge swings in prices and we’re playing our part by giving punters access to live betting analysis and tips as the games are going on.”

The content and betting service are accessible via smartphones and tablets. Sources at BetdaqNFL claim the company is ready to develop a mobile NFL sportsbook version for the Irish market if the initial launch of the microsite proves to be successful.

Ireland and UK American football fans are welcome to comment: “I don’t understand this. How can you call a sport football when you are allowed to touch the balls with your hands?”
