  • There have been several managerial changes already in the season
  • Chelsea sacked Thomas Tuchel, RB Leipzig dismissed Domenico Tedesco
  • Leicester City and Nottingham Forest managers can follow them soon

It has been only one month since the beginning of the new season, but several managers in the top leagues have been sacked already. Like Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel and RB Leipzig manager Domenico Tedesco. But we can still find some clubs struggling at the moment which can also lead to managerial changes. Let’s see who are the most likely next victims in our managers to be sacked predictions.

The managers of two Premier League sides have been sacked in the new season. Scott Parker, the manager of AFC Bournemouth and the Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel. The German manager lost his job in spite of winning the Champions League with the club in 2021. Both teams have been underperforming in the new, 2022/23 season so far. Chelsea lost against Leeds United and Southampton. And couldn’t win against Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League. While Bournemouth have only two wins besides three defeats and a draw. The Cherries suffered a humiliating, 9-0 defeat from Liverpool which was followed by the sack of Parker. There has been one major change in the Bundesliga too. The management of RB Leipzig sacked Domenico Tedesco following the team’s poor results and their latest 1-4 loss against Shakhtar Donetsk at the Red Bull Arena.

Brendan Rodgers Is Mentioned As the Top Candidate In the Managers To Be Sacked Predictions

The manager of Leicester City, Brendan Rodgers is the most likely winner of the sack race following the team’s disastrous performance in the new season. They draw against Brentford in the opening round and lost their next five games. The Foxes are at the bottom of the table with a single point, already 14 points behind the leader Arsenal. Probably it’s just a question of time to find a new manager. So it’s not surprising that Rodgers is the top favorite in the managers to be sacked predictions. We can find an odds of ½ on online sportsbooks in the UK for his departure.

Rodgers is followed by the manager of Nottingham Forest, Steven Cooper. He has the odds of 4.00 to be the next casualty. Even though the club was promoted to the Premier League under his lead last season, Forest didn’t have a great start of the season either. They lost four games besides a win against West Ham and a draw with Everton. Cooper’s name has even come up to replace the new Chelsea manager, Graham Potter at Brighton. Well, he is still at Forest but the team’s next game against Fulham might decide his faith. It will be a tough match though with bookmakers slightly favoring Fulham for the win.

Other PL managers who can be out of work

We can also find some big names in danger of being sacked in the Premier League. Like Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp or Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard. Klopp’s magic is seems to be lost as the Reds have been very inconsistent so far. They draw against Fulham, Crystal Palace and Everton, and lost against old rival Manchester United. The most recent 4-1 defeat from Napoli in the Champions League questioned the place of Klopp in spite of his popularity. His odds to be sacked next are 16.00.

There is more chance of the dismissal of Steven Gerrard whose team is in the back of the table, in 17th place. In addition, Villa hadn’t really played well even when they won a game. They lack any character that might frustrate the fans and the management more. Old rival Frank Lampard at Everton seems to have similar issues at the club. The Toffees only lost two games but haven’t won any yet. They are in 16th place, level on points with Aston Villa. Online gambling sites in the UK expect Gerrard to be one of the first managers to be sacked and offer the odds of 6.00 for that.

Managers in danger in other top leagues

In the Bundesliga, the last-placed team, Vfl Bochum have also sacked their head coach, Thomas Reis. After the team lost all six matches of the season. Heiko Butscher, the coach of the U-19 team took over his place as an interim manager. A similar faith can wait for the manager of Bayer Leverkusen. As the team is only in 19th place with one win, a draw and four losses. Though the club leaders expressed their support to the current coach, Gerardo Seoane last month. Their decision might change soon after more similar results.

managers to be sacked predictions

In Italy, Bologna sacked manager Sinisa Mihajlovic last week after the team hasn’t got any win in five matches. The management at bottom team, Monza did the same and sacked manager Giovanni Stroppa as his team only managed to earn one point out of six games. No one has been sacked in Spain or France yet, but managers of bottom teams should feel the threat. Along with Sevilla manager Julen Lopetegui, whose team is in 16th place in La Liga. They lost against Osasuna, Almeria and FC Barcelona. While they were also beaten 4-0 by Manchester City at home in the Champions League. So it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see Lopetegui’s departure in the upcoming days.
